If you're tired of them now imagine as next season wears on! Anywho, it's an idea based on resigning Lee and acquiring Bosh.
Bosh-Lee-Gallo-Joe Johnson-Duhon
Bosh-Lee-Gallo-Wade-Duhon
LeBron or Bust
No resigning Lee no matter the scenario.
Other idea....
I miss Isiah, Zach, and Crawford.

Most realistic is Bosh and Joe Johnson but idealy LeBron is first choice and 2nc choice is the same as Marv's.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I'll say it again. Not sold on Bosh.
I want Wade or Lebron or both.

I'm assuming this means Curry is very much tradeable(word?) and gone?

Otherwise your first two options aren't doable.

I want LeBron/Wade... to me, that's the granddaddy of all scenarios.

Dont really understand the man-love/cheeto-love for trying to get LeBron and Wade. Wade needs a ton of shots and LeBron is a similar type player. I'd rather have one of those 2 guys, preferably LeBron, and an all-star big.

Agreed on LeBron and Wade...

In fact I take the following combo's over anything including Bosh or Amare because I think Lee can play their role better with 2 stars.

1) Lebron and Wade
2) Lebron and J Johnson
3) Wade and J Johnson

I want perimeter players who can knock down the outside shot or get to the hoop and at the same time make people around them better.

martin that's a reasonable concern but i think in this case you're loking at 2 extraordinary players that break the ususal rules of building a team. despite being scoring machines, they're both in the top 10 in assists, at 7.3 and 6.9. plus they're disciplined shooters, at 49.4 and 47.5 fg%. i think they would be beyond belief together.

Wade is great but... he is a time bomb. I would stay away.
JJonson can be just fantastic in Mikes system. I cannot see any age for Wade over him there.
So option one is the best.
LeBron or bust is retarded. LeBron and the plan is what we need. And I believe we have.
Only idiots have no backup plane. Better a couple of plans.

Nope. Didn't bother with the complicated side yet I've never said Curry is tradeable in fact the opposite so don't look to put such things into the equation this is not intended to be a dynamic fact intensive thread. It's meant to look at the makeup of the team some fans are desiring.

However, since you put it out there, Curry doesn't have to go to make any scenario happen as Jared could be moved to make necessary cap room. We're that close. It's been broken down on here a few times to show it. That's kind of besides the point. I'm not playing GM nor do I intend to so this doesn't have to work in a trade checker to validate the idea behind the poll.

You said both scenarios do not work. I beg to differ as Joe Johnson does not get a max contract. He's not that level of talent. 43% shooting isn't worth 20M a year. That's why I threw his name in there as an option to show the options. If someone thinks so it sure better not be the Knicks.

This was more to illustrate that we don't have to hit two max FA home runs. If we sign Lee to a decent contract, who else do we add and who is to say we can't have a good team by doing so?

That's the point here. There are many options and if we do retain Lee with a sensible contract it isn't the end of the 2010 world. In fact the poll arose on the idea that Lee would more than likely be retained by the Knicks unless he gets a ludicrous offer and what that means for the makeup of our roster.

Since you chose "other idea" is there more to that idea? Or was that your way of saying this poll sucks? Besides, that's what the final selection was meant for.

agreed, i'd much rather have Lebron playing w/a superstar big than a perimeter scorer like Wade.

Well, who's the superstar big? Coming into this year I was a big Amare fan, but he hasn't exactly been special... and Bosh? What have the Raptors done? I don't see any "superstar bigs" available. Now, I see a couple of superstar swingmen available.

Amare is a superstar big... u tell me what frontcourt player can continue to put up superstar level stats w/Shaq's huge butt clogging up the lane on every possession.

Coming into this year, I'd say Amare was a superstar. But he is pretty far from that level now... superstars shine no matter the occasion, even when a 107 year old AARP member gets added to an offense where everyone else has experience with one another.... and don't get me started on Amare's "defense"

Amare's still putting up 21 & 8... KG's putting up less at 16 & 9, does that mean he's no longer a superstar bigman too?

I don't see how you culled that comparison based upon what I said. First off, KG plays defense. Second off, he is that team's post presence. Third off, KG plays with The Truth and a guy with a pure stroke. Fourth off, , they're defending champions. Fifth off, me answering this has more to with me drinking than anything else

i dunno what Suns team u've been watching but Shaq's having a pretty solid season... the way u speak of him makes him out to be completely washed up, which is not the case... 18 & 9 is good production from any NBA C, i don't care how old or young they are... & Amare's also playing w/J Rich who's also averaging 17 ppg, & 4 other guys averaging in double figures in scoring as well in Nash, Hill, Barnes & Barbosa... Amare's leading his team in scoring even while his post game has almost completely been done away with due to Shaq's presence down low... take Shaq away & Amare's production would jump right back to what it was last year, trust.
