It's been rumored that Dumars is looking to traid Allen Iverson. It's a bad fit in Detroit the way Allen plays. I was just wondering if Iversons contract ended before 2010 and would he help or hurt New York.

Iverson is in his contract year. 21 and change is a lot off the books. Why is Detroit shopping him? Where did you hear the rumor? Can we get a link?

It's not a bad idea but Iverson would have to play SG and he's a little too small for that, especially with age catching up to him.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Why do we need Iverson besides the fact that he's an expiring and why would Iverson want to come here? He's for a contending team. We are learning how to just get in the playoffs. No thanks to him.

Marbury is an expiring, we need to keep him on the roster until July and say 'bye bye mother****er'. Detroit may be lookin' for a big man who can score, maybe Curry+Harrington could work.

I'd give them Curry and Jeffries to get the expiring deal. I have no interest in AI.

I think the only way it could work is a three way- what do we need AI for?

Too bad Curry is so far out of shape he won't play until next year.

We need to buy out Jerome James, clearly more than his eating habits have been wearing off on Curry!

The only trade that Detroit would consider would be Marbury straight up, I guess you could throw in a second rounder, but they would be better off just doing a Marion for iverson deal straight up which would work well for both teams.

Dumars isn't taking on salary, especially if he did the deal to create flexibility by moving chauncy

2 reasons: box office and competitiveness. this would undoubtedly put us in the playoff race however the question is do we want that? this is our last pick for two years so it better be a good one and we need to be in the top ten with the draft picks this year to get a good player. getting iverson would jeopardize that. however, i am an answer fan and would love for him to come to ny.

I can think of another reason. Is there any other guard in the NBA better quaified that you would want Nate to learn from with his potential?

We'd be able to re-sign Lee and Nate and go after free agents. There's no chance that would happen though.

Iverson? LOL come'on fellas he's a chemistry destroying whiny little bitch these days. Let that go.

Detroit is also not taking back ANY salary such as Curry or Jeffries no matter who you throw in the trade. Dumars has set up the team to be rebuilt and has 34M in cap space coming his way THIS summer! He's not taking our trash.

We would be morons to trade Marbury for Iverson and then let Iverson take 35 shots per game while Lee, Gallo, Nate, Chandler, Duhon all regress substantially standing around watching Iverson chuck the ball all game long.

No thanks!!!

why not? Curry will need time but someone out there believes they can make that size work. Chandler is a heck of a player at 21. Maybe they can do better or we would need to. Who knows. Maybe its Malik/Chandler/JJ skinny for AI
