we're killing people with our bench right now. keep the rooster in his pen. let him crow when people don't expect it.
I agree. We have to temper our enthusiasm. He just came back from an injury. Gallo is doing fine with his alloted PT. I want his PT to go up gradually up to 20-25min a game this year.

look at the +/- for last night's game. Our bench destroyed their's and it why we won.
Gallo is 19 and need to learn how to play the pro game. He's good off the bench and should be playing against other NBA bench players. Let him grow and build his confidence.
After 5 years in the league he will be 24. He's sooooo young. This is going to be a long process. 15-18 minutes a game for a 19 year old rookie is fine.

Gallo is 19????? Why did I not know that.. Holly ****.. It's official.. This kid is going to be a big time player man
Actually I believe he turned 20, but still he's a BABY. This guy just needs to take it slow and make steady progress. Tho I do believe he's not getting enough touches.

his mentality is the most impressive part about him.
Asked if he is anticipating other veterans testing him, Gallinari said: "Come at me? I don't have no problem. I take the challenge and I take any kind of player. I play for the team and I play to win.

Can you be patient when Gallinari stumbles or has the 3-16 game?
I don't see Gallo having a 3-16 game. Unlike Crawford, he appears to have a conscious and will look to do other things when his shot isn't falling, such as pass or drive to the hoop.

Let's not kill the kid. He hasn't even played in 5 games yet and he's recovering from a back injury. Ease him into his minutes and we'll go from there.

I really liked the way Gallinari has competed--he really is trying hard. He's also a lot taller than he appears and this will help the Knicks. He's not quick of foot--but he's tall with long arms which should help on the D and on the offensive glass. I think this is a player you bring along moderately--he has been successful so far---inserting him into the starting lineup where he may have to go 1-1 with starting 3s might not have the same effect. Coming off the bench--being a relative unknown with very little to be scouted on is his advantage right now--so let him play the 20 minutes and hopefully he can build it up from there over time

there really isnt anything not to like about his game. The back is obviously a concern but at 19/20 his game is very advanced. I wouldnt call him slow or unathletic either. He's shown good speed in the open court and a good first step when putting it on the floor

So maybe calling him a bust before he even played a game wasn't a good idea?
