Anybody know if he's restricted? He is full mid-level exemption worthy and he is probably the best scorer at his position not named Kobe or Wade....he's like Jason Richardson but with a mid-range jumper....

Why is he being given the shaft by the league? He played well in Boston except on the Defense cuz he was a teenaged rookie...he averaged 10pts per his second year in 22 mins He showed signs in Minnesota too...every time Dallas puts him in he shows a ruthless assasin like quality mixed with a shooting touch and crazy hops....Dallas is in need of a scorer or a shooting guard on or off the bench. Why is this kid being shafted?

I think the kid is primed and ready to breakout if he is given minutes. The Knicks currently have a hole at the 2 guard....

This season....can he be traded for? I mean for Nate? Even David Lee is Dallas throws in a draft pick...

Gerald Green is a scorer and a freakishly retarded athlete....he can shoot it nicely too and he has huge balls and a natural killer instinct....what the hell is going on with him Dude?

i would love to trade Nate to DAL for Green & a 1st round pick, but let's chill out on the full MLE talk until he proves something in the league first.

i thought he was gonna be the best player taken in his draft, but boy was i wrong... i think he's definitely got the physical tools to be that, but he wouldn't be the first uber athletic NBA player to never amount to much... i would love to give him a try, but not at a full MLE over 5 years.

i've seen 4 DAL games when they played the Lakers & Clips this season... he had 1 very good game vs. the Lakers early this season & did well in another game vs the Clips from what i remember, but the other 2 games he didn't do much at all... again, i think he's got the tools to be great, just not the maturity or the mentality right now... i would love to give him a shot tho... we got nothing to lose this year... just saying it's too much of a gamble to lock this kid up to a full MLE contract right now is all... he's gotta show me a lot more than having a few bright moments in a game to warrant that.

I agree. He's a league minimum guy right now. He just hasn't shown much yet. A lot of untapped potential a-la Qyntel Woods though. For the league minimum or possibly even a LLE type deal, he'd be a no-brainer IMO. Just like any young talented player out there right now that's not getting the time, if given enough burn, odds are that he'd impress. 100% worth taking a chance on.

He seems exactly like Qyntel Woods, who obviously could score, but for whatever reason, couldn't stick in the league. Woods even shot 50% from the field for us, and we wouldn't bring him back.

People just love 6'6" guards with freakish hops that don't know how to play basketball.

I agree with Vdesai. Maybe this kid has a lot of potential, but he's been cut by a lot of teams and he hasn't done much with what he has, and I don't think it has much to do with lack of opportunities. He'll have flashes, but he doesn't seem like he's going to bust out anytime soon. To top it off, we already have Chandler, Gallo and even Harrington and Thomas. This kid isn't going to get a chance to play. He's not a fit.
