Dude we are rebuilding. I know losing to the Thunder is pathetic, even in a rebuilding situation, but it is what it is. This team isn't built to win.

I don't know how you are rebuilding if you give a guy $12 million for 2 years in the off-season. The rebuilding stuff is now being used as an excuse.

Was it 2 years? The way you're acting, we just gave this guy $100 million over 6 years. Thanks for the insight.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Well I think if you are using the Chris Duhon signing as a barometer of whether or not the team is rebuilding then I think you're making the wrong assumptions. Most people thought Duhon was a scrub, because he is playing well now you can't say they are one of the same.

Patently ridiculous statement. They couldn't get under the cap in the next 2 yrs anyway and would've basically headed into this season without a PG. Someone needed to be here to implement this system. And no, Steph was never an option. Duhon's signing made no pronouncements about not rebuilding.

If anything it was indicative of what direction this team was going and foreshadowed the moves that took place afterward.

They already had a point guard and didn't move him after acquiring one. Didn't draft one either. The only thing ridiculous is what levels you will go to defend this regime. The Duhon signing was without rhyme or reason if they didn't believe they were trying to make the playoffs as both the president of operations and head coach said at their press conferences. It was a pointless signing if you are rebuilding in the next two years.

Well, we were 7-8 and then the trade came along. Zach and Crawford gone and it may have disrupted that. The opening up cap space was a nice thing. If we are rebuilding and if it's going to disrupt any winning, then that's just the way it's gonna have to be and we're going to have to swallow our pride until 2010.

Then that's the point. An opportunity presented itself to remove salary and was taken but to try and deceive other posters by saying that rebuilding was the gameplan all along is just as insulting as Isiah's "we're rebuilding on the fly" stuff.

Walsh has said from day 1 - in the PRESS CONFERENCE - that his goal was to get under the cap in 2010. You missed it. Siting Duhon signing is weak. LOL. Remind us who was the PG that could run MDA's offense?

Then what is the point in acquiring Duhon. It is becoming apparent he isn't capable of effectively running the offense either. Neither is Roberson. So what is the point of bringing in a player for $6 million a year and keeping a player on the roster that is making $21 million a year if neither can effectively run a system btw has yet to deliver any real results other than helping Steve Nash's career. Was said the goal was to make the playoffs but he does not plan to lose sight of 2010 in trying to do so. He also said we have to get this draft right too but that's another story in itself.

So basically what you are saying is that even after MDA and Donnie sat down with every player on the team and asked them if they like playing with Marbury and each of the said no, and after 3 caca years of Marbury at the helm, and after he left the team after PHO flight last year, and after he has argued with many coaches season after season..... YOu would still place your teams in his hands? LOL, good one.

Duhon has been a good surprise for the KNicks and has played well and has others around him play well. Is everything peachy? No. But removing Marbury was already seen since day 2 of Donnie's tenure, like it or not.

But this doesn't flow with Walsh said after 1st game of the season when he said he didn't understand what was going on with it. So I have to disagree with that. That's why we suffer through those "Are they on the same page" stuff for a couple of weeks. The fact that they didn't bring in a backup and remove Marbury from the roster only show mismanagement if that was the case as well. BTW, the guy that people thought that was going to backup Duhon, you know that guy Roberson can't even get into games without the coach yanking him who I thought was a big supporter of him. Kudos to Walsh for moving Randolph and Crawford and getting under the cap for 2010. Other moves not so much.

Martin, Duhon hasn't played well since playing the GS and Kings. Point guards have been running around him and putting up ridiculous numbers.

I see differently. Duhon has played well in many games since GS and Kings. Not all have been wins but he has played well. Check out Lakers, Celitics, Denver, Bobcats, Boston couple of nights ago.

I thought he got outplayed in the Laker game by Fisher and then Farmar in the 2nd half of that game.
I can't give him kudos for getting his rear tail handed to him by Rondo. I actually felt sorry for him.
Duhon had a terrible game against Denver and Gus Johnson actually called him out on it.
Augustin and Felton gave him fits in that game. He had a good last minute with the phantom call on Diaw doesn't make up for the entire game.
He had some key buckets late against Boston but that game belong to Chandler and Harrington who he didn't he create for. I will give him credit for instructing the other players to keep feeding those the ball. But overrall he wasn't a big part of the game.

Well those are just my thoughts. He excels in the pick and rolls with Lee and the timely 3s but opposing point guards have shredded him up lately. He has made them look like all-stars.

LOL. Yet, I must correct you, it was 100.4M over 7 years. LOL.

Yeah, seriously, the Duhon signing..I bashed the hell out of it, then he proved me wrong, and now he's starting to prove me right. Yet, as was hashed out way back then during the summer? 2010. So, it's inconsequential at this point.

He's trash though. It was a temporary mirage. Career...uh...month or two by Duhon. It's over though.

This team is about to go down the ****ter as fast as we've ever seen them do before.

No use cryin' over it too much. It is what it is. Yet, now it's time to really gut it before it gets completely out of hand.

I trust Walsh to continue the march to 2010 though.... and I guess until that summer there's not much to really talk about. We'll find something to talk about though.

Wow Cosmic sure does like saying those 4 numbers over and over and over and over and over and over. It's this case for at least half the league. We have no more special a plan than anyone else.
