is because of our offense. The only reason defense is getting attention is because we have no one on the team that can shoot the ball. Phoenix shot 49@ from the field we shoot 43% from the field. They shot 40% from three point line and we shoot 36%. They scored 110 and gave up 103. We score 104 and give up 107. Phoenix had 4 starters shoot over 50% we have one. We have guys shooting around 40% that get most of the shots. Wilson finally went below 30% on three point attempts to me that means quit shooting them. Go get Luther Head or Blake Ahearn in the D-league, get a vet that can shoot the ball that is why this isnt working. Shoot the shots you can make and go to the hole that makes the game easier.

An alternate way to say the above is the reason that the Knicks aren't winning games is because they suck

Yes we dont have too many guys that can play this system. I think at the most DUhon and Lee and Chandler if he will go inside instead of being a jump shooter. A guy that shoots 38% from the field for the month and 27 from 3 to me doesnt make sense. I am just upset with Walsh because wer have all this dead weight and there are players that could help.

Because DT doesn't draw up plays at crucial times and the knicks become mistake prone and predictable to opposing defenses. When they have leads late in games, they keep jumpshooting instead of going to the rack to get points and possibly draw fouls. Once you have a late lead, everything afterwards should go to the hoop.

The Knicks traded Zach, Craw and Collins for Al Harrington and Tim Thomas......yeah so why are we losing again?

Cuttino Mobley isn't Kobe Bryant and he isn't the offensive guy he used to be but he would have helped and his scoring numbers may have actually jumped in a Knick uni......

Knicks need reinforcements.

D'antoni has been a good coach so lets not throw him under the bus already. He calls plays when needed.......guys just aren't excecuting.

I agree we need to trade for a big that can play 10 minutes and some guards who can shoot. I want Luther Head.

My take on this that we need to do all of those things offensievly and play better defense than 'Antonio's Suns. After all they didn't win a championship.

The two specific reasons is 'we have pretty much zero defense (so we can't close out close games) and we are severely depleted. We are basically a six man team.' Virtually! Those are the real reasons.
I'll never trust this' team again.

How much more are they scoring in the paint? I'll answer that with another question......how much more points are the Knicks scoring compared to last year?

Face it......Nate Robinson is the second leading scorer? Some guy named Al Harrington is averaging 24pts as a Knick? Jared is the starting center? Wow....I wonder why the Knicks are losing. Duhon is the point guard that can't create shots in a offense that promotes creativity? Q is the starting shooting guard when healthy? The best line up for the Knicks is Al Harrington, Chandler, David Lee, Duhon and Nate?......

The only team that is giving up more points inside are the Warriors. The Thunder are giving up fewer points inside than the Knicks. Giving up those points inside can't help you win games either. The Knicks actually got worst defensively from last season. Chandler leads the Knicks with .80 BPG which is nearly .45 more than any other Knick. I give Kudos to Jeffries for finally raising his arms long enough to swat away some balls.

You actually want Donnie Walsh to trade for good players to help our cause? Fudge that!

Just get rid of Eddie and Jeffries while getting some kind of value (picks, young players, etc.) which by no means is an easy task.

This year is lost already and things have to be worked our to have a solid team in 2009 until we get to the dance in 2010.

we weren't really winning games when our best rebounder & low post scorer & our best perimeter scorer were still here, then we trade them away & replace them with a versatile swingman scorer & Tiny Tim Fugazy & u gotta expect it's gonna be even harder to win games... this is how salary dump trades usually work... u sacrifice the talent to gain future cap flexibility... everyone's trying to dissect the reasons why this team is losing & still can't figure out that the roster isn't all that good to begin with... it ain't rocket science.

It would have been nice if help had come from the most significant draft pick in recent history in possibly the deepest draft ever.

Who cares about this season? Any wins this year are icing in the 2010 cake. Just develop the players and clean up the roster. All walsh should be concerned with is acquiring talent that can win a title and setting us up to be able to get that talent is what he's been doing.

Gallo just needs to keep taking his time. If he never plays this year but comes back healthy for the rest of his career that's all that matters. I'd love to see him play but only if he's fully healthy!
