You have Lee playing the 5 and since the trade he has outplayed McGee,Oden, Wallace, Biedrins, Bynum, Horford, Ben Wallace, Jason Thompson. Illgauskas they played even. Shaq had 23-12 vs Lee 15-12, and Gooden outplayed him in Chicago with 22-16 vs Lee 11-15. Bogut had 14-17 vs Lee 13-12. Out of the last 14 games we have been outplayed by opposing centers 4 times. I still cant see where it is easier to replace a top 10 rebounder than a 15 points a game Robinson. It is funny Lee is outplaying guy making 10-13 million and most people think he is worth a MLE.

I don't get your comparison. Lee might be playing the 5 but he is clearly not a center. His defense is getting better but he is not what you would call "a presence" in the middle. I like Lee a lot and hope we can find a way to keep him, but he is not your prototypical center.

I totally agree he isnt a center if he was at the four and they have a defensive minded center it would make us better. Jeffires is going to make 7 at the end of his contract, and a lot of people on this board has said Lee isnt worth 8-10 million so what is his worth a MLE?

I have never said Lee is going to get anything over 10 million. I have maintained that the Knicks could have gotten him for 8 and that would have been a steal and now he will get more than eight. I have never said Lee deserves 13 million.

He's +2 in rebs, +1.6 in points and -2 in blocks

He's doing a good job filling out the stat sheet.

He's also going to hit a wall playing against bigger guys everynight and his #s will tail off after 40-50 games. Its just physics

I think we should sign Lee to a 10 year $20mm contract. $2mm is a lot of money to make every year and thats great security. I think everyone that posts here would agree.

If he wants to get greedy he should know he's hurting the Knicks chances of getting a guy who can turn Lee into a much bigger star. LeBron lifts all ships. Nobody knew who Mo Williams or Delonte West was (at least the casual fan didn't) before they joined the Cavs.
