![]() Read this article on global warming. It's kind of urgent and sounds pretty vital to me. Apparently the caps are melting a lot faster then first thought.

One of them is to get this information out to as many people as you can. Post it on other boards and tell all of your family members, friends, associates, etc. and ask them to tell all of their family, etc. and so on and so on. http://environment.about.com/od/globalwarming/tp/globalwarmtips.htm Me and my girlfriend have been recycling for the last ten years. We don't own a car and we don't burn a lot of fuel. One of the other things I do is I use environmentally friendly soaps to wash my clothes, dishes and hair. I wash all' of my clothes in cold water and they are just as clean as they would be washing in hot water. If you must was in hot, then at least reduce your temp to warm. It wasn't hard to convert our old ways to the new. All you have to do is be conscious about it, by educating yourself. Once you have the knowledge, then you will have it on the back of your mind. I don't get paranoid about it, because I know I'm not the only one doing it. Recycling, and doing other things is a regular part of my life now. Join in. There's so many things you can do to learn about it and learn how you can help to reduce the greenhouse affects. Just by searching on google and reading. It's all right in front of you. The whole world of information. I can only tell you, but you can help by telling others. ![]() I actually read that temperatures having been trending downward for the last decade and last year was the lowest.

Note that this argument applies only if the ice cube is made of the same water as the water that it is floating in. This is true, for example, with the Arctic ice pack, which is made of frozen sea water. However, it is not true for Antarctic icebergs, which are blocks of fresh-water ice from the continent that are floating in salt-water sea. In this case, we must take into account that the salt water is denser than the fresh water. The fresh-water iceberg still weighs as much as the weight of the displaced salt water, but because of the difference in density, the volume of melted fresh water will be slightly greater than the displaced volume of salt water -- so when the iceberg melts, the water level will rise, although the difference is very small.
