The Knicks and Stephon Marbury failed to reach a resolution on the guard’s status during their much-anticipated meeting on Monday, according to Marbury’s lawyer, Hal Biagas.

“It’s not resolved,” Biagas said after emerging from a 35-minute meeting with Knicks president Donnie Walsh.

“We’re keeping it in-house,” Biagas added. “I have no comment. I’ll keep you posted if things happen.”

Marbury, Biagas, and Walsh met at the Knicks training facility on Monday at 2:30 p.m.

Marbury left the meeting after 15 minutes and sat in his Rolls Royce until Biagas, who works for the Players Association, exited 20 minutes later. Marbury’s driver drove to the entrance to pick up Biagas.

Marbury refused to comment when he left. It is unclear if he is suspended for Tuesday’s game against Portland. Walsh also isn’t commenting. It is unclear if any future meetings are scheduled.

I think they should send him home so he is not around the team. Other than that, I have no problem with them making him the 15th man. I don't think you can cut him at this point without asking for some conditions. If he won't agree, just send him home.

Seriously. All of the complaints about this being the topic. I find it an interesting topic. It's always interesting to try to understand how utter psychos like Stephon Marbury think. It's a shame Steph doesn't have anyone in his life, family, friends, whatever... to tell him how stupid he's being. Instead they compliment him for being "professional" -- most ridiculous statement I've ever heard in my life.

Dolan's at least a little psychotic too. Don't leave him out of the picture!

Of course. Compared to Steph, Dolan is sane, though, as scary as it sounds. Personally, I don't have any problem with the Knicks trying to get Steph to accept a buyout. Since he'll have gotten what... $90 million out of the Knicks over 4 1/2 years, when his poor attitude has made him an overall negative impact... I think him getting even a single dime this year is more than generous.

If the contract says he gets 21 million (or whatever amount it exactly is) just give it to him and be done with this fiasco
