I went to the Roy Jones Jr v Joe Calzaghe fight at MSG. Got great seats. On the way out i saw Wilson and asked him for a photo. I hate asking people I don;t know for photos, so I usually don't... Brendan Haywood, for example, was sitting in my section. But THISISTHEMAYOR!!! Two things: (1) he's a really nice laid back kid, didn't give me any attitude whatsoever for asking even though a he was with a couple of other Knicks and trying to get on the elevator to get out of dodge, and (2) my hand was up on his trap--pause--and he's built like a rock.

I thought I'd share because y'all are probably the only people that care I met The Mayor. Sorry its blurry but my buddy and I were smashed by that point

ahahah tahts funny cuz i met him that same night at the fight, he was walkin by me outside and i was like your playin great wilson!!! and he stopped, said thanks and gave ME a pound.. i didnt extend my hand he extended his.. lol i was mad excited

SupremeCommander - Great shot.

The Mayor is a man of, for and down with the people. Then again, his quiet demeanor is what makes him special. I bet he woulda smiled if he knew he was The Mayor.

Thank you for the confirmation that his upper body is ripped, even if you had to cop a feel by accident.

haha... actually, in 2004 I flew into Newark to see the Yankee home opener against the Red Sox, in my brand new ARod away jersey. David Robinson was standing on the other side of security as I'm walking to my gate. I acknowledged him and he came over to shake my hand, because that is one stand up dude. But I shook my head at him and kept walking. It took him a second to realize why I wouldn't shake his hand and when he realized we both nodded then laughed. Not Tim Duncan, but it reminded me of that story.

That's cool. Reminds me of my hey days when I used to meet a lot of baseball players. I got a lot of good stories on those guys.
