what was it that randolph did that got him yanked so quickly after that play, besides being posterized?

The announcers mentioned something - I thought they said he was talking trash with timmy?

That was just a grown man taking a little kid to school.....humble yourself!!!

BTW.....Tim Thomas in this role has been perfect for the Knicks. He's not what we all think he should be, but the guy is a good player still. Fundementally sound and poised. I'm glad he's back.

eeesh, fundamentally sound is not what i'd call Fugazy Tim... the only reason i'm glad he's here is cuz we got rid of Zach's contract... i personally can't stand seeing the way he approaches the games... he's such a loafer it's not even funny... he'll play hard for 2 minutes then go back to being Fugazy this guy

He hasnt been lazy so far...he's best suited as Chandler and Harringtons back up....in the minutes hes getting he's actually been pretty awesome.

i like him getting minutes rather than Jefferies, that much i'll give him... but next game i want u to watch him closely while he's playing defense & pay particular attention to when he gets the ball dumped down to him in the low post... i'll bet you at least 2 out of 3 times he'll settle for a turn around fadeaway jumpshot rather than working to get closer to the basket & using his height advantage to get off an easier shot in the paint.

I think TTs problem is that he has never lived up to his hype.

He's a decent player.

And for MDA- I ultimately think he would love to have 3-4 guys on the court at any one time that are like TT & Harrington- big, 6'9" guys that can pass the ball and shoot from 3.

TT is closer to 6'11" than 6'9". That is what is so maddening about him. He has all the parts to be a great player except for the most important one. The heart. I agree with TMS, watch him on long rebounds. He does not move. The ball has to go directly to him in arms distance to get the ball. I guess its better than Curry where it actually has to his hands for him to rebound.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy with Tim's play in small doses which is what he is getting now backing up the forwards. As long as Al and Wilson are good then Tim should be fine.

On Randolph, he really showed his age in that sequence. Hopefully he does not get to broken down like what MJ did to Kwame. Randolph did look like he was going to cry. The look back he gave nellie reminded me of my 15 year old giving me the evil eye after I corrected her.

Tim isn't horrible. He can help. I just hate watching him. I don't get the impression that he is ever giving 100% unless he is angry. Most of the time he looks like he is playing in a pick up game. He rarely pursues rebounds and often loses track of his man on defense. I have however accepted who he is and am okay with him for the short term
I just hope that people will like me

Hes a huge guy. Right now hes easily the biggest player on the Knicks. Its sad, but when you guy around the league and look at other players who are a similar size they play a totally different game. Thomas is bigger than Powe on the Celts, and Powe is a beast on the boards and plays low post defense. Why cant TT?

That's my beef with him too. He's under (what I call) the "When I Feel Like It" type players.
"I'll play hard when I feel like it."
"I'll play defense when I feel like it."
"I'll crash the boards when I feel like it."

You know he can do it, he has the ability to do it - but isn't very driven to do it.

Tim Thomas approaches every game and every play like its the All-Star game. Just run up and down the court looking for dunks, or launch uncontested threes from the parking lot. Defense? What the heck is that. This is the All-Star game.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I'm going to hold judgement and keep an eye on his numbers. That will tell me if he's contributing.
