Since so many people on this forum, on the ESPN forums, and in the league have different opinion's that are driving me nuts, I'd like to know. I myself put this completely on Wackbury, who has burned bridges with every coach and every player he has ever been around. With an assist from James Dolan for not wanting to buy him out from day one. But please, explain to me why such respected men like Walsh and D'Antoni, who come in with such great reputations, are hurting this douchebag who has ruined every team he has ever touched. BTW thank you Marbury supporters/ Walsh, D'Antoni critics for replacing Republicans in my life for being the people I most can't understand what reality you live in.
Stephon Marbury
Donnie Walsh/Mike D'Antoni

Where's the "who cares?" option? This is a soap opera and I refuse to follow a soap opera. Waste of time

It is Walsh. The Knicks talked about getting a point in the draft. Then they signed Duhon and proclaimed him the starter. Walsh needed to resolve the situation before training camp.

He can't do that without Dolan's permission. It's Dolan.

All parties involved are to blame for this mess, including Berman for taking Steph's side by printing BS about D'Antoni and Walsh, there are no winners in this one, so everyone involved takes the blame for this getting too far out of hand.

In declining order:

1. Marbury - the guys is unwantable and unworkable. Just a disaster from every angle.

2. Dolan - The guy still thinks he can get value for his money on bad deals.

3. Walsh - Ridding the organization of Marbury and Isiah should have been handled last year. Dolan is an idiot, but you have to use all your credibility and influence to put the past behind us.

4. D'antoni - The guy is stuck between a rock and a hard place. he doesn't want Marbury, but he knows he can't run 7 guys into the ground night in and night out without burnout and injuries. We finally have a coach who puts the team first but he still gets burned for it.

Somewhere in there also belong the fans and media for making this story a story. The reality is, this is simply a process the team needs to work through. It's not nearly as monumental as it's being made out to be.

1. Steph cuz he could easily work out a reasonable deal and move on. All he cares about is himself, which he proved over and over thru his entire career. What a waste of talent and the once in a lifetime chance to play for your hometown team. The fans in NY gave him so much support until he made that impossible for them to keep doing, even then fans called for him to play.

2,3&4. Dolan, walsh and MDA. Bad decisions made all the way around. They should've found a solution before camp. I understand the money is enormous but Dolan knew what the money was when he ok'd the deal for Steph. MDA has only made it worse, tho I can see why he didn't want Steph to play for him. He probably threw up in his mouth asking Steph to play. Steph is everything he hates in a player.

Marbury is on the list certainly, but number one??...I don't think he fired the first shot here...

Did he or did he not enter training cap stating he would not come off the bench in NY?

Once again, with "culture change" as the theme of the year, Marbury tries to hold the team hostage with his personal terms and conditions, just as he has done every year, and once again the coach gets blamed instead of Marbury.

It's like deja vu all over again.

I hardly think his wanting to start has been the defining theme of this entire episode...I think he came to terms very quickly that he wouldn't start...Also, If MDA doesn't want Marbs, why even ask him to play???..

I personally think both parties are responsible, but D'Antoni and Walsh a bit more. As everyone knows, the Walsh said everyone on the team would be given a fresh start, and I personally don't think Marbury didn't do anything this season to warrant what has happened to him. I don't think Marbury saying he wouldn't come off the bench is enough to completely shun him from the team

If D'Antoni knew he wasn't going to play him at all (which it kinda looks like he did), they should have just bought him out over the summer instead of causing this mess

These arguments presented by posters here puts people in a position to defend Marbury which is what no one wants to do here...But the undeniable recognition that MDA and Walsh is completely wrong here is just unbelievable...Who wants to defend Marbs..NO ONE!!!!..He is completely wrong here..But the fact that some of you has just gulped the MDA and Walsh kool-aid and has just completely abandoned the facts because of Marbury past behavior is quite evident...People has staked out their positions and are going to stick to it...Good reasoning need not apply here...Good luck guys..

Every player "wants" to start, but only Marbury stated not starting would be a problem.

He asked him to play because with trades and injuries he's down to 7 players. If he had two Roberson's he'd play both befre Marbury, but Marbury was the only live body left, and you know, he is being paid.

Why dont you reread Blues post and you will see all parties take some of the blame. Your just haggling with the positioning of his list because your upset he put Marb #1. Everyone takes the blame. Okay.

So everyone is "comletely wrong here" but if thoe who think Marbury is the primary problem are beyond good reasoning?

You are simply ignoring good reasoning. Marbury started the season right were he left off last: having a problem accepting his role, putting himself above his coach and teammates, and reinstigating a culture everyone understood needed to change.

But he is not the problem?
