We need a mobile shot-blocking center who can hit an open shot. Unfortunately, those guys are hard to find. If we trade Lee, and I am not necessarily saying we should, a center is what we should be looking for.
I think we only go this route is if we believe this current roster is one we want to try to build upon. I don't think that's a wise choice 6-5 start or not. This is not a roster to build a winner on. Therefore I don't see the value in using whatever assets we have to add this mythical "shot-blocking center that can also hit jump shots" to the roster. Where will that take us? We don't want to solidify ourselves into mediocrity and I think it's quite obvious that this roster as constructed guarantees mediocrity.
If you agree with me that it's a mediocre roster than I suggest that using an asset such as Lee needs to be done in a way that trims our 2011 payroll and returns us an asset or two along the way for future use.
