I hope we have one or a couple of nice picks that get us at least one of those.

IMHO, Curry is not lottery talent. He is an undersized 2 guard without the athlethic ability to succeed at the next level. I like your list but I would move Budinger up on that list after Thabeet. If the Knicks can't get Thabeet, I would really like to get that kid.

For the way things have worked out for us in the past, I don't care if they tank or not. Last year the Bulls won #1 with what? 30 something wins? We won 23 and we drafted 6th and are worried with Danillo.

Brandon Jennings, Demar Derozan, BJ Mullens, Hasheem Thabeet, Blake Griffin will all likely be gone in the top 10... if the Knicks keeps playing this way they won't end up w/any of those guys... i think it would be smart to trade for another 1st rounder so we have the option of trading up if we have to... the worst that can happen is we end up w/a guy like Patrick Patterson & another mid 1st round talent, which isn't such a bad alternative... but i think it's imperative we get a guy w/star quality written all over him, & that means we need to have a high lottery pick.

i think thabeet could be a game changer for us. a mutombo type to anchor this offense with a little D. unfortunately, i don't think mike D would ever take him because he can't hit a three.

i've only seen highlights of ricky rubio and he looks incredible... i imagine he'd be one of our targets.

to people rooting for losses now or worried about the draft, don't worry the Ls will come. enjoy the Ws while you can. i think it's far more important to change the culture of the team and up the trade value of those guys who are here who we don't necessarily want here long term.

They are on tonight at 9:30- on ESPN against Oklahoma--so if you havent seen curry or blake griffin its always good to see two high quality teams go at it

Agree on all three players. Briggs already calling Stephen Curry the next Steve Nash, only better. Funny.... I do like Budinger, he had a good one last night against Florida Atlantic - did a lot of good things, moved well w/o the ball often losing his man, scored it from inside and out and gave good effort on the defensive end. Thabeet didn't fare as well last night against a vastly inferior club in Hartford no less. He should've dominated that club but didn't. Foul-plagued 1st half then never got into the flow in the 2nd half. It's early though and he's got stuff going for him that you just can't teach like enormous height & wingspan, real solid mobility & agility for a guy that big and big-time confidence and desire to be the best (borderline ****y when you consider his comments about Tyler Hansborough not too long ago - but I like it).

You just saw the best big player and guard playing in the same game tonight. Blake Griffin is miles ahead of anyone for the first pick in the draft and if Stephon Curry played PG with guys who were on his talent level--watch out. On physical attributes alone Mullens is in there but he has to prove game but he should. I don't think it's much of a discussion who the top 5 likely are.

Knicks have no shot at these guys. They will end up with the 9th or 10th pick so look at the prospects around there.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

...Curry is not lottery talent...

Dunno if he's the new Nash but he's consistently very good, usually the best player on the court. I'm hard pressed to think of a college team with as little overall talent--basically level II talent, cute but second string--in the top 40. He'll need to avoid injuries and, oh, playing for the Knicks to have a long career but he's worth a lottery pick. I keep thinking he's too small, not quick enough, lucky, or just hard to evaluate at 20. Davidson lost to Oklahoma tonight, Curry outplayed but didn't dominate against Blake Griffin. Assuming Griffin is lottery material, Curry's up there too.

(Oddly, Davidson is playing WV in the MSG this season. I'm tempted. Can't be worse than your average Knicks game.)

He's not flashy but he's a good ballhandler and has excellent vision which goes unnoticed. he has way to much burden on him. He's a willing passer but when he gave it up last night the guys couldnt hit shots forcing him to take more then he would with similar talent. One thing you ask when you look at talent--can this guy impact games. Im not talking about putting up any number of points but actually does his play impact the game---that is the difference maker when you look at a talent. You saw two top 5 picks last night--the first one obviously a player who has great brick and mortar skill with incredible physical agility strength long arms and ballhandling skills for a 6-10 250 player. The other is a guy who is extremely intelligent and vastly under rated because he doesnt tehe athletic package that usually you associate with a high pick.

Brandon Jennings has been terrible so far in Europe

How big is Curry? Isnt he only like 6'2 or 6'3? Thats dangerously in JJ Reddick territory. If he was 6'6 I would say Allan Houston part II

I would take him over Crawford though :)
