I think its a crime....a CRIME!!! that Kyle Lowry is taking a back seat to this bum. Now I don't know what it is with him.....is he hurt or something?

O MY GOD! I forgot about Javaris Crittenton....he played like 5 mins tonight.

Question.....did anyone see why Mike Conley deserved his starting spot with that franchise?.....I know he was a #4 pick in the first round a few years back.....but when is someone gonna say this kid is a bust? Someone needs to say it and it might as well be Enyspree.

BTW....Mike Conley is on the all-star ballot and Nate isn't.....

I said it when he got drafted that he sucked. He was basically riding Greg Oden's coat tails and now that he is in the big leagues he has been exposed.

I would say he is a bust but according to some on this board he got like 3 or 4 more years to go. You know the Gallinari rule.

Come on Pharz.. this is Conley's second year. Yes, I agree he's playing terrible but if we go by your logic guys like Chauncey Billups and Steve Nash would never appear.

Hey at least you and I are being consistent on the matter. I notice some that already call Conley a bust but are willing to give Gallinari years to prove that he is Bird lite.

I see what you're saying. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Conley will ever be an all-star or something, but I just think it's too early to call him a bust. He did shoot 2 airballs tonight which is something I haven't seen in a long time.

anyway just to add.....Mookie, Kenny and Rod weren't starters right off the bat, but like i said the guys showed signs enough fo rpeople to say these guys were special and its only a matter of time and minutes. Mike Conley hasn't shown that.

I was just ragging on you about how you had insight into Gallinari 3 minutes and 48 seconds but you wrote off a guy who help lead his team to a NCAA championship game. Maybe you aren't giving Conley enough time to show it.

You know what, I think Conley reminds me of TJ Ford. I think maybe he isn't playing on a team right now that can showcase his skills. I would like to see him play in D'Antoni or Nellie offense. I remember the Nash bust stuff too, so maybe I could be wrong about him being a bust.

Oh!!!!!

gotcha....but that shows alot that in 3 minutes and 48 secs Gallo showed more to me that Conley did in 2 seasons.

TJ Ford showed beautiful signs that he could play in his first year. Maybe Conley needs an uptempo.....he sure doesnt need minutes, lol. He's basically been given the job and he sucks. The team is being built around him....well now its obviously changed with Gay, Mayo and Marc Gasol......I still think the dude is a bust.

Well Conley can definitely push the ball but until he develops his jumpshot, he is going to be a marginal player at best. It really depends on how hard he works on that jumpshot. He has quickness and decent vision, but without a shot, guys can just lay off him. I agree that Lowry appears to be the better pg at this point.

C.Billups looked like a bum with the Celtics also.

Mike Conley was considered to be one of the best HS point prospects when he went to college and went to OSU because he was friends with Oden. He looked pretty good to me there. To use a cross-sports analogy, I think he kind of got David Carr'ed. He was rushed to be the guy leading things and making a difference with literally no supporting cast.

I think he'll be a bust if he's handled the same way. I do think if another team acquires him, puts him on the bench, and makes him earn his way there's a chance he could still turn out to be a pretty good player.

I'd love to see him on the Knicks trying to earn his way into playing time. Not sure if there's a match there or not, but who knows, maybe they bite on Collins + a second so that Crittenton can get unglued from the bench.

Conley showed some signs last year but only small doses. Lowry is the playmaker that Conley is. Did you see those back-to-back-to-back headscratching turnovers Lowry committed last night?

He didn't look like a bum. He was actually too flashy back then. He didn't really know how to play but he had shown flashes......

Seriously, do you see flashes of a good player in this guy since he's been in the league.?
