I just read on Espn that Charles Oakley is a free agent... I think we should bring him back for the minimum, and have him around just to whip some of other forwards into shape... maybe he can get van horn to bulkup.!!!

Charles Oakley is Gay, let the guy go and play with other men on some other team.

playa2, please post something relevant to basketball.

We already are loaded at the PF spot. No need to bring Oak in unless it is as a big man coach. He is way past his productive prime.

I'm serious about Oak, Mark Macon said it himself. Guys that are about 40 and single you better check their night life. You don't think no fine honey can tie down a NBA player with all that money. PLZ

Rooming with oak sounds like some HBO jail special!

Only Chris Rock can do that topic justice.

Playa shame on you for writing that "Gay" crap. Keep it relevent.

Oak does has stated he does not want to babysit rookies, he wants on a championship caliber team. He is not a good fit. Don't tell me about that tought nyk kind of ball. We got two rings in 60 years! We don't have a heritage of winning. Those two rings were the exeption not the rule for the knicks. That Riley Slam ball got you deep in the playoffs, but you need shooters, ball handlers, guys that can jump, ext. The Teams that were menatlly tough are ones that won rings. Save for the Detroit boys of 12 years ago, its about running, jumping, shooting and rebounding. Punk explosive hissy fits of verbal macho does not count in the score board.

Walt Frazier would be soft by todays standards. Clyde dressed different, was not loud, and did not talk trash. He only was in superior shape, lead by example and never ever argued with a ref.

Yeah, I liked Oaks heart and his work ethic. He was not the reason we never reached the ring, but his day is done in my opinion in NY. If he wants to ride coat tails out west, bless his heart.

Well said - It's a brand new day on 32nd st. (hopefully) and I'd like to keep the previous era on the classic network...

Sorry Neydal if you don't agree with me but basketball players are a part of our society too.

McGrady: 5% of NBA is gay
Include Oakely in that group of being Gay.Anybody 40 yrs old and still single in NBA is prolly goofed up!

In a wide-ranging question-and-answer interview with Stuff magazine, Orlando Magic star guard Tracy McGrady claimed that 5 percent of the players in the NBA are homosexual.

McGrady, the NBA's leading scorer last season, also complained that he was not consulted by Magic management before they signed veteran power forward Juwan Howard to a free-agent deal in July.

"I didn't have a clue about it, which I think is crazy, because I should know all the moves they make if I'm the key guy for this team," McGrady told the magazine. "I'm thinking I should have been the first to know."

Magic spokesman Joel Glass said the team had no official response to the three-time all-star's comments.

The article, entitled "Dude Looks Like a McGrady," will be in the November issue and will be on newsstands in October. The article is filled with plenty of sexual innuendo, including McGrady's claims that he once played alongside a homosexual teammate in Orlando. McGrady, who stressed that he is not gay, did not name names.

That article is crap. Sensational bull shoyt. So what if the NBA is 5% gay. I don't care who is gay or not.

McGrady being a great player does not make him a great person.

Personally I say live and let live.

He is intitled to his opinion, as are you.

ANd so am I.

Its a stupid issue to bring up. Unless your incarcerated.

playa.....even if it were true exactly what does it have to do with whether or not Oak should play for the Knicks? It never had any visible affect when he was here before.

What Knick fan disses Charles Oakley?

To respond to the comment,Oakley was a key witness in an investigation[as well as patrick and john starks] on a strip club. Supposedly Patrick and Oakley both rang up nearly 100,000$ in bills. If you are spending 100,000 at a strip club, I would have to think that your as straight as an arrow. Some people dont want to get married. Oakley is a VERY smart guy. he spent his time playing basketball on the road and building a fleet of car washes. Maybe it just wasnt time for him to settle down.
