The one great thing about this drubbing by the Spurs is that it really shows our flaws and I mean big time.

1. Lack of a penetrating PG
2. Lack of Shotblocking presence
3. Lack of a really good shooter
4. Lack of a player a with some cahones

Now we obviously have known this stuff for a while but I think it's great that D'Antoni and Walsh can see it first hand.

I agree actually. It's important that the coach and GM have an accurate idea of how good the team is or isn't.

Just a player who always comes through. As much as I hate him, Bruce Bowen has cahones, he always shows up when the team needs him. Chauncey Billups has cahones. I just gave you 2 very different players, one is a superstar and one isn't, but they both have cahones.

Center! Plain and simple. We could have had one in the draft.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Some people here would label Crawford as that guy but I don't. I agree with your points, especially the cahones part.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

We desparately need size, cuz we won't stand a chance against any of the top teams the way we are right now! I don't think this team is anywhere close to a contender so it's not a surprise. We need to make the most of the roster we have now and make sure we add the right guys. Games like this are a fact of life when ur rebuilding.

As currently constituted we must keep sharing the ball, moving and hit shots. I thought we got into some selfish play and jacked up some bad shots and that's what killed us, in addition to some bad D on the perimeter.

I agree about Crawford. There are times that Crawford makes you think he'd always be a cahones type player but for every time he comes through in the clutch, he takes the entire next night off. I like Crawford, but he ain't a cahones player.

We definitely need a shotblocker. A real scorer would be nice though, who shoots at a high percentage.

I personally think this team needs a real point guard. I know the Duhon love fest was just going on after two very good games, but I like to see point guards who get other players shots and scoring chances. Not just get the ball to who ever is open. I can go out there and get 12 assists if Jamal, Nate and Randolph are shooting 65 plus percent.

But when you play a team like the spurs, who the last time I checked are still a great defensive team and weren't missing any defensive players with Parker/Manu out, you need a guy who can create shots for others.... not just move the ball around.

Seems to me that the Knicks for all the politics about Chandler/Lee/Duhon/Blah, every game is going to come down to Jamal & Zach giving the knicks 45-55 points with a sprinkling of Nate for 15 points (he steps in if for one of these in case they are off).

A point guard would help alt with the other 35-40 points we need for the rest of the squad, any smuck can just pass the ball to these three and let them score.

Duhon doesn't penetrate at all. Crawford can penetrate but seldom would ever give up the ball. Collins seems like the only active Knick that knows how to penetrate and can draw contact. Oh, oh.

That game is tailor made for Curry wide butt. Force Duncan into some foul trouble issues.

Need size of some kind. I have not like the situation that D'Antoni has put Chandler. Watching him guard centers is kinda of ridiculous. The guy already has a sore knee. The front court is playing out of position.

Thats why I put a penetrating PG as the #1 priority.

I like Duhon, but we need more. Dudu would make a fine backup.

I think in order the Knick's needs are, 1) a leader, 2) Shotblocking, 3) consistent shooting 4) two way talent.

Historically they haven't really had these things.

if we're going to rely on jamal to be our shooter, we're in bigger trouble than we think. jamal is jamal...one night great, one night horrible.

we need a player to build around first & foremost... leadership can come from role players, teams like the Spurs got that from guys like Avery Johnson... i'm sure we can find that in guys like Chris Duhon or even Nate when he matures a little more... what we need is a Tim Duncan (obviously as does just about 80% of the other teams in the NBA)
