This explains a lot -
David Lee did not practice yesterday and told The Post he has been suffering from a bone spur in his ankle for three weeks. Lee said he will play through the pain and the spur is too small to require surgery.

Too bad Lee didn't work on his outside shot more.

P.S. Zach Randolph has knee problems.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

If Lee and Randolph go down for a long period--we wont win more than 25 games. We've been clutch so far but weve needed all hands on deck.

OMG, my ten year old daughter practices and competes with pain and whines less, actually she doesn't complain at all, than these 200+lb grown men.

I don't think lee was complaining. I think Berman just caught wind of it and felt like reporting it. Lee is trying to be a trooper. I sat courtside at the Jazz game and was watching Lee and something just didn't seem right with him. He wasn't getting to those loose balls or offensive rebounds. This just explains why. I just hope it can't get worse because if that is the case I would definitely rest him. It does the Knicks no good to risk him hurting himself and later needing surgery. Hmm, on 2nd thought, not a lot of teams would sign him to a large term sheet which would be good for Walsh. Although Lee could always just play one more season and then become a UFA.

But hasn't he made like several of them so far? I don't think he could do that before.

He is pretty much the same shooter he has always been: Hesitant and unreliable. He's made a few jumpers in a 6 game season, I don't call that improvement. Perhaps he has had a slight improvement if you squint your eyes real hard.

Compare that with Chandler's actual jumpshot improvement from his college career to his rookie year, from his rookie year to his obvious improvement this year.

That is an actual improved jumpshot.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I'm almost certainly a bigger fan of David Lee the basketball player than you are.

However, I will never match the fruity crush that you have on him. So, I am sorry about your boyfriend.

I would definitely rest him.

Maybe coach can get him a warm blanky and some fuzzy slippers to wear on the sidelines

I am not so high at him as you think.
But you really hate him as a person so much; and I cannot get why.
Does he remind you something that brings bad memories? Something personal?
I know you should be OK with him as bbal player.
May be something with color; or the fact that he is rich and successful?
Just curious. It should be some real reason...

Other than, "I disagree", I don't really know what to say.

I thought Lee's jumpers showed signed of improvement in preseason too. he made like 4 or so in a row in one of those games. I wouldn't describe it as hesitant and unreliable at all, based on what I've seen of it so far this season. I don't see any more proof that Chandler has improved his jump shot than there is that lee has improved his (3 point shooting not included of course). If only 6 games into the season isn't enough proof for Lee I don't see why it would be enough proof for Chandler. They've both hit jumpers pretty consistently so far this season.

It is very interesting that you would bring up color. I remember you writing once: Everybody knows that white athletes have better work ethic and blacks are more gifted athletes.

There have been other similar comments from you, do you recall? So I think when you accuse me you are really exposing what is within you.

I don't hate Lee, I am just realistic about the player he is and I don't think he is an angel as you seem to. You are on his jock so hard that it doesn't really jibe with reality. However, I guess I do see now that you are more interested in his color than his basketball ability. One has to wonder why even now you are still so anti-rrandolph, all the names you have called him etc. I guess he is just "one of them" to you. It's pretty obvious actually.

Arkrud, this forum is littered with your racist comments so I suggest you don't take this any further with me.

Well, Chandler makes 3-4-5 jumpers a game from all over the place including from 3 and Lee makes 1-2 jumpers every several games usually from 10-15 feet.

But if you disagree I am sure I can't convince you, and I am not really interested in trying, all you have to do is really watch.

David to me seemed like he lost a step. So I guess its just those spurs in his ankle......

So how much more proof does anyone need that this guy needs to be traded asap? He's a free agent after this season. His whole game is his ability to go all out. If he gets a nick he becomes very ordinary. Knicks have got to get some value for this dude asap.
