I dont know what is going on with Lee but he didnt look to good with Mcgee going over his head 5 times and grabbing 1 rebound. What happened to the guy who was getting 17-10-5 in the pre-season? Boone is a better starter in the NBA than Lee because he can truly play the 5 and Lee cannot handle the 5 on the D.

I said this last year. Boone is a much better defender, better rebounder, shot-blocker and is a legit center, while Lee at times is overmatched size-wise at his natural PF position.

Boone is definitely better than Lee. He's even a better shooter. The only thing Lee is better at is passsing.

Don't you remember when the Knicks did't pick Marcus Williams and I told you Boone would be a much better pro than Marcus Williams and Williams would be more like Rick Brunson?

You insisted that Marcus Williams was the best player in the draft. You also said to me, and I quote: "STFU".

i think Lee has better instincts on the floor than Boone... he's got a good sense of when to cut to the hole, when to break out on the fastbreak, makes great outlet passes after rebounding the ball, & makes more hustle plays... Boone's a better defender no question & can block shots, so he's much better suited for the C position... both guys are very good rebounders.

Lee is simply playing out of position. He is not a C, in fact, he is a bit under-sized to be a PF. Moreover, he does not have the shot-blocking or defensive instincts to compensate for being undersized. If the plan is to have Lee guard the other teams center, then we are in for a long season and Lee is going to start getting frustrated. Lee needs to bulk up if he is going to play center for us and even then, he is going to be overmatched most nights.

I am not surprised about deteriorating Lee performance.
This all trade talks and with most of the NY fans want you out, not too many players can keep it going.
I hope he will find better home someplace else; where you don't need to be a superstar (like Steph or Zack ) to be supported by fans.

you may be right, but when it comes down to it, after all of that, all guys like marbury and zach have to do is have a good game, and all is forgotten. Right now we are 3-2 and people are still whining about not having the guy who sabotaged our last two seasons, on the floor...

Lee is a nice player but he is a bench player. His athleticism has deteriorated from the time he came into the NBA. But he is a good player to have on the team. The Knicks need to get a shot blocker in here and center that will make things happen on the defensive end. Who will compliment Zach and Chandler in the front court. Boone would be a nice player to have on the team but I can't see Nets giving him up for anything the Knicks have. Since they have Lopez I think the Nets might be thinking Boone-Lopez front court. Maybe Sean williams might be a good pick up for the Knicks they should look into it.

Rod Thorn is a tremendous executive. Both Boone and Williams were taken after Balkman. Williams was supposed to be a lottery pick so picking him up late in the first round was a not a stretch.

I don't know how good a pick Williams was but he seems to have one foot in Europe.

There are a lot of players better than Josh, but if people keep on pushing for Lee's departure, make sure your right about that.

There must have been about 1 to 200 scenarios on how to get rid of Lee, but not one of them consistent.

It isn't that people want to bring in someone better, it's just that they want to get rid of Lee. They'd trade him for Rick Brunson if they could.

I'm an advocate on what not' to do when making such reckless suggestions. There is more to Lee and our other Knick players, then just being a great athlete or not.

That is my opinion.
I'll never trust this' team again.

So, after a grand total of 2 games with double double's this year, and two games of doing pretty much nothing statistically, Boone is now better than Lee, who's been doing this since he entered the NBA?

BRIGGS, after the first two preseason games you said we should pay Lee 10 million a year for 6 years.

You think Boone deserves this or did Lee suddenly become a mediocre player since then?
