Does anyone else notice??? He really just doesn't seem that into it this year, like he's a little ticked off almost. Seems like he's ready to move on.. But I can't really tell, he just isn't playing as hard as usual.. His defense has been horrible and he's not getting very many minutes. What's going on here???

He needs to go back to the shallow water. His jumpshot looks very robotic and forced. He seems intent on using it over point blank type shots. He needs to concentrate on getting 13-14 rebounds and the points will come. When you try to change who you are it usually doesnt work. Use the jumper sparingly and when in the flow. He's thinking not playing. And when he makes a bad play it seems like he carries it with him which reduces energy

i agree with briggs......

Knicks are gonna have to pay him....is he worth the contract? Knicks need size or more skilled players. Not just for D'antoni, but cuz the team sucks....With Zach here and Wilson, David is expendable....again, do the Knicks really want to pay him?

I dont see a difference. David Lee has no jumpshot and plays sub-par defense. He is a high caliber reserve or a solid starting PF, not a center and not an offensive player. David Lee is not an all star.

This si why the Knicks must trade him and get value for him before he goes on the market....the Knicks have no reason to sign him.....if you ask me David Lee's lost a step.

You guys are hilarious.

Only in the eyes of NY "Fans" Lee is a great player. I like Lee, but he is and always will be a 6th man in the NBA.

he never had a jumper and his defense has always been crappy.

Lol.....there's so many different scenerios to go with. The Knicks need to move someone.....they need to move everyone really.

Its definately obvious Lee must be traded. No way should the Knicks sign him or allow him to sign an offer sheet.

David Lee has not changed. Now he has to play starters night in and out so he is being revealed as a bench player. I don't get the feeling he is in great physical condition either. Last season he played himself into shape.

I don't see that his jumper hass improved by much if any over his rookie season. He can shoot it decently from the baseline, everywhere else he looks like he is worried and he should be.

It looks like he is allergic to weights so he can't guard guys his own size and smaller. He is the second worse defensive player on the Knicks right behind Crawford. Yes, worse than Zach Randolph. Yes, Worse than Eddy curry. They are both awful but there are several players in the NBA they can guard. Lee can guard nobody but Yao Ming for 6 minutes once a year.

If the Knicks can acquire a real center the starting lineup should be "real center", Randolph, Chandler, Robinson, and since they won't play Marbury - Duhon (yuck)

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

i still say we can easily get at least a mid 1st round pick for him from a team looking to shore up their frontcourt this season if not a top 10 pick... he is still easily our most desirable trade asset & we should be utilizing him to attain a valuable pick in this upcoming draft, cuz there's gonna be a good amount of talented players available in the 1st round that can easily replace his spot on this roster & will be able to provide the defense in the frontcourt that we so desperately need.

Not a starter for sure and I still prefer Frye who would give you a block every now and then, his D was a little better than Lee's and jumper no contest.

We'd better do that soon because I feel he is losing value quickly.

I think lee can be an elite bench player at that, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as he gets significant minutes. It is funny how larry brown viewed lee as a bench player and people went crazy calling brown all types of names.. LOL...

First, David Lee is a PF and he is trying to play center against natural centers bigger than he is.

Second, ever since he hurt his ankle, he hasn't been playing as well as previously. I am wondering if the ankle is still bothering him and he is playing hurt??

hellz no... Frye was as soft as they come... he definitely had a better jumpshot but he wasn't nearly as good a rebounder or passer as Lee is.

Reactive are we?

We've played 4 games and his first one was excellent. Its hard to make any assumptions or conclusions right now.

seriously, once D Lee has a stretch of good games again people will be saying he's an untouchable like they were in previous years... for me tho i think it's best if we trade him before the Allstar break regardless if he's playing well or not... i don't think he's gonna be worth that longterm coin he's gonna want & we already have a PF who rebounds just as well & has a better jumpshot that's signed to a big money longterm contract that we can't get rid of... i think it's smarter if we get that pick & target a true C who can patrol the paint & be a better complement to Zach, since he's more than likely gonna be here beyond this season whether we like it or not.

He played well offensively but he gave up 23 point and 10 rebounds to Udonis Haslem.

Some games he will rebound well and get his signature putbacks, layups, and dunks, but he is consistently invisible on defense.

It isn't just center. David Lee gets abused by positions 3,4, and 5.
