Stephon almost has a foot out the door. But what about the biggest loser Jamal Crawford? The knicks will simple not be a consistent team having this inconsitent player.

History has proven that Jamal Crawford as a key cog is recipe for the lotto. Maybe he can be successful in a place where isn't a key cog, but that place isn't NY. I'd trade him for an expiring and a second, just as I would Randolph. Might as well develop the youngsters and draft a decent player, then make a run a decent FA (doubt the Knicks get a tier 1 guy, but a tier 2 would be a huge upgrade).

IMO this is poor foresight by Walsh. He should have dealt with this early in the summer. He should have jumped on the Clipper deal with Zach when the Clipps withdrew their 1st round pick demand. (it's been documented, and its also why walsh refuses in anger to talk about that deal apparently he wasnt notified or missed the call or something of that nature)

Then instead of crapping on Curry you bite the bullet and make it the craw/curry show again for awhile before you can ship them away.

THENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN you go to implementing the 7sol offense and your culture change!

The team has made some mistakes IMO and what it's done is wasted time - especially in the NBA where tomorrow doesn't exist. It's today - or - six months later is your next chance to fix a problem. Not a good thing to toy with - that NBA clock so to speak.

Well, now it's ugly, it's going to explode if it's not dealt with - and - entirely on MARBURYS terms (every penny!).

I think we had a decent plan available in how to rid ourselves of these players - all of which truly had to/have to go. Now you can throw any set list of "who must go first" out the window. It's who is doing best and is most readily moveable (Crawford).

If we're going to do this, do it right, and if we're going to tank, you do it by dropping these once-in-awhile-good-game clowns and opt for true trash players while the financial aspect rights itself.

It was bad in preseason as well.

how much more can I watch of Jamal and Nate... NAte is in his fourt season !!

I would rather see a Roberson and Duhon back-court along with whoever else than can pickup from the developmental league ...

no point in playing that loser Mardy either.

Forget that I thought he was suppose to be a distributor. How is your backup and your center averaging similar assists to you?

This team needs a overhaul. Its sickening watching these players. Only ones I really think have a any chance of doing well is Chandler because he is super athletic and Gallo because mostly he is an unknown quantity. The rest of the team is pretty much garbage.

Having Nate on the team is like watching midget wrestling. Lee does a few things well and does a lot of thing very poorly, Crawford garbage, Zach undersized pf with lacking defensive capabilities. Curry fat man with little heart and skill set. Mardy no shot. Q same mold as Crawford. Duhon the defensive stopper call me when he does something that merits thats defensive player tag.

We need new players in here that can make things happen in the positive way. Players that want to win at all cost. These current players will give up on you in a heart beat. They have done it before and will do it again and again and again. Thats why you can't root for these guys they have no probelms letting the fans down and the themselves down. The way they played last night you would have thought they ran in the marathon and showed to play basketball. Home game absolute no excuses to lose a hoe game so damn early in the year. You have to set a winning tone at home thats what good teams do. If you can't win home games regularly then its just a bad team and bad players.

Chris Duhon has nearly allowed 3 PGs to get triple doubles. Not only is he getting outscored, he's flat out getting outhustled. The sad thing is that these are just decent players too.

I think this is a fair assesment. You can't always blame Duhon for when others fail.

i've noticed him matched up on SGs and even some SFs at times, especially when the knicks go small. not making excuses, i have not been impressed with his D either way. we didn't get jason kidd in his prime, we got a career backup...

Chalmers 18 8 8
Miller 20 8 7
Sessions 18 8 7

Duhon1 9 3 3
Duhon2 5 7 6
Duhon3 6 3 3

Game 1 9 5 5
Game 2 15 1 1
Game 3 12 5 4

average 12 3.667 3.333

No intensive statistical analysis, but Duhon is getting outperformed by 12/3.67/3.33 so far this season... that's unacceptable.

But look on the bright side: Marbury got learned!

And isn't that what counts?

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

LOL... I think Marbury getting shown he's replaceable was important years ago, but now, what's the point? We all know he's gone next year. So I'm inclined to agree with your point that performance should trump pride. And while he is a detriment to this team, HE IS ONE THE TEAM!!! And the team should get what it can from him while he's here because, well, all the other guards on this roster are garbage. MDA made it to the playoffs with Marbury, he should be able to suck it up and do it again in this weak conference.

Maybe it's more about the rest of the team than Marbury. Maybe it's a step towards making Marbury as irrelevant as he should be. Maybe it will hasten his departure so the coach can focus on the guys who still have their marbles.

Our payroll is a disgrace, spreading the wealth needs to target the Knicks.

Duhon 5 million are you ****ing kidding me. I don't love Collins but seriously what does duhon do all that much better. He is getting his ass handed to him, haven't we learned not to sign anyone from the Bulls.

Crawford has sucked for years and the fans and majority of posters always make excuses for him. Pray to god this loser opts out of his contract and we get rid of him.

We still don't seem to get the point. We are rebuilding and this is what happens when you rebuild. The only guys on this team that have received any type of committment from MGt. are Gallinari and to a slightly lesser extent, Wilson Chandler. The rest are playing to see if they will be here 2 or 3 years from now. It sucks losing. It sucks when we don't play up to our abilities. But this year isn't about that, no matter how much we don't want to admit it. We are building a team.

This team that was put together by Isiah is as mismatched and unbalanced as it was 3 months ago. There should be no surprises about this. I know the offseason optimism always makes us think differently, but nothing has changed. Now it's up to Mike and Walsh to develop the guys that have a shot of being with us years from now. Teaching them how to win and then acquire guys that can take us to the next level. It's going to take more than Chris Duhon to add anything to this team. It will take many guys that can play with effort on a nightly basis that can teach our youth. That doesn't happen overnight. We will need to acquire a few to get this stink of losing out of here. But it's here and is tough to get rid of it. Duhon is not getting rid of it. It will take time.
I just hope that people will like me
