Chandler could be a really good player?? Or maybe just good?//

How can this team even win 30 games unless they shoot 20 footers well

I kind of thought EC would be back to his 20-7 form and benefit from a more open system

We are small not very athletic with no shooting we had the 6th pick in the draft on a 23 win team and he doesnt see PT and that is the problem---we really have scked in the draft--we need to FIRE people associated with us drafting

This is no do over team rebuilding team its just a team that scks.

craw must go. i guarantee if we give roberson all his mins that our shooting percentage goes up from the guard spot. he's going to be a perennial 35% shooter, no matter which system

Thanks Briggs. This of course didn't need to go in the game thread. It needed it's own topic.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

we are too small. We don't shoot well, and guys like craw and zach can't stick to the gameplan..

And lee probablyneeds to come off the bench..

in other words we need a stud big and a SG..

Let gallinari play 30mpg.. can he do worse than mardy?

i still can't believe walsh actually said there's a 2010 plan. probably one of the dumber things to do as a gm. with the hiring of d'antoni - they should've spent money and made expiring year deals. otherwise, the coach should be mark jackson.

So true. D'Antoni is a very good coach but this situation makes no sense whatsover for him. You only bring in a coach like that if you expect to make the playoffs soon (which we clearly don't).

We're not rebuilding, we're sitting the best player to make statements and ruining any value he might have, we're hiring big name coaches to put butts in the seats, neither the coach nor the GM have real autonomy, we're not drafting the best player available.

Same shyt different year.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Lee, Nate, and Chandler might be a nice bench trio to round out an 8 man rotation on a really good team.

I really don't see what the other 12 on the roster can bring, but, I guess it's too early for Gallo yet... the rest the book has long been written that they are career bums regardless of stats.

I thought that Duhon was brought in here to be a playmaking point guard but so far I haven't seen much of any penetrating. So I am still confuse about the direction of this team since the off season. If Duhon is capable then Jamal should be running point. I know he can penetrate in the paint. Nash's penetration sets up the low post player and the 3 point shooters.

that guy wearing the no. 3 tattoo might help...

*clean slate
*in shape
*willing to play the 2 in this offense
*still a guy that consistently draws the attention of every defender, thus consistently drawing attention away from guys like Chandler and Lee
*still one of the best penetrators
*still one of the best at drawing fouls and finishing
*****still under contract*****

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

I highly recommend that nobody judge this team so early in the season. Give them time and they will get better. We have a super coach and some good young talent and a few veterans who can teach them a few things. Give them a good chance.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Yea we suck now so we can be better later? That should be the plan. I am still hold judgement until I see the rookie Gallo get mins and validate his draft position. Hey it is yet another new era, another fresh new start. At least we have Mike D'Antoni as the coach.

Its sad, but after all these seasons, Marbury is still our best player.

And he could really help us out. Problem is, if we bring him back now, we essentially admit that we need him. I honestly don't see D'Antoni and Walsh doing that. It would have made a whole lot of sense though to play Steph as a 6th man from the start of the season. If we had done that, then it wouldn't be so absurd to put him in the starting lineup.

As far as the future, I don't think we can say right now that we have a player we can legitimately build around. Chandler and Gallo can both turn into very good players, but its too early to say right now. We really do need a top 5 pick this season.

There kind of isn't any player to build around. Chandler and Lee come close and that's about it. Gallo might be good but we don't know yet. As far as the rebuilding goes I'll give it more time, before I judge. There wasn't a whole lot Walsh could have done in the short time he's been here.

I seem to be the only fighting to believe in them. I refuse to fall into the dark places anymore. There is hope and nothing can disappoint me any more. I/we have seen it all. We have a future and I am willing to give them every chance possible. Your either with me or your not.

Lunacy! Don't you know what is important is to show #3-head and the rest of the team who is boss!? We're 1-2 (Just scraping by the horrid Heat) but we are leading the league in "messages", so take that for what it is worth which is exactly nada.

At least he has an excuse. He was HURT. He is still just getting back in shape. you need to give him 1-2 months at least to judge him. Let look at the other potntial picks with #6. Eric gordon-can't get time on a bad clipper team. Alexander-can't get any pt. Augustin-who knows if he would be long term answer? Bayless-can't get pt-NOT a point guard. Randolph-deep on the bench in GS-not ready fot prime time. Etc, etc, yada, yada--there really was no one out there as a guaranteed answer. sure now you say Lopez but how many of you at the draft wanted any of the guys I mentioned above? Hindsight is 20/20.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate
