I was reading an article and at the very end there was this quote from Curry that I found to be VERY alarming:
http://www.nypost.com/seven/10302008/sports/knicks/gallinari_scoreless_in_debut_135952.htm Angry at D'Antoni for informing the media on Tuesday, he met with the coach yesterday morning. "I'm just glad he talked to me," Curry said at the morning shootaround. "I think it's a start. I think he knows if he has something to say to me, he needs to come to me and say whatever he has to say." WHAT? Curry needs to just shut up and do what he's told. MDA and Walsh told him to get in shape and he spent the summer chillin in the TV room at Grover's Gym. I actually thought he looked a bit slimmer in the face, which may have been the case, since he was a blimp at the end of last year, but that's a far cry from being in top shape. The guy just doesn't get it. He wasn't promised a spot in the rotation, just like Jerome or anyone else wasn't. He came to camp in bad shape, then thru no fault of his, at least that we know of, he got sick, so what made him think he was ready to start??? He's got it all wrong. How about some humility and maybe an apology for coming in out of shape. He's just out of touch and until he grows up he'll never learn how to be a winner. |
