shoot him. jokes aside, I think the only way to get rid of him is for Walsh to order a hit. It's New York, I mean..common.

I really bought it when he said he's fine with beign 6th man, but after that home opener..how he reacted.. I'm starting to think there's no salvation for this guy.

he said that he was still 'really a starter, but he'll do what he has to do'. to me, that's being a jerk..why even mention that you believe you're still a starter if you're ok with comin' off the bench?

I have no problem with what he said. He feels that can do more to contribute. Also, I don't want a guy on my team that is satisfy with playing limited minutes. Those are the guys you fire. That's like going into the boss' office and saying no thanks to the promotion and added responsibility, I like my cozy position and collecting my check. Believe me you ain't going to get high marks on your evaluation report for an attitude like that. Also, D'Antoni already proved himself to be a liar, he did indicate that training camp will be open at all positions and as it turned out it wasn't. But I am sure everyone will give him a pass.

That may hold true for anyone but Stephon. After these horrible years in New York and an overall crappy career, its time that he is shut up and put on the bench. D'Antoni is doing the right thing by trying to make him irrelevant, or less relevant than he is now. Unlike Zach, Stephon is just counting his days out in New York. Being quiet isn't too much to expect from him after everything he's pulled.

All I care about is boxscores and the win columns. You know what I find funny is that how some people get passes. All these guys suck and are part of their record. Believe me, Marbury is part of the problem along with about 12 other guys on this team. I think it is a crime that there are only two players on this team that been in the playoffs more than two years. And those two are the guys that everyone wants to run out of the town. There are many guys on this team that have to prove themselves which includes the head coach. I am still waiting on Mike D to win games without Nash. Also, Marbury wasn't alone in racking up these losses. The core of this roster has been the same now going on 3+ years.

I appreciate your sentiment and frustration about Marbury. But IMO, we don't need the idea of shooting him. Way to extreme. Not a good idea to promote. It is the same as some people at a Palin rally yelling that Obama should be killed.

This will all be mute after this season. Enjoy the nuttyness he will provide.

They will "test" this dude. He will be a "role" player and it will drive him to the brink. He will blow up and they can suspend him. Read Shaun Powell's article this morning.

There is not trading him, just let him expire or trade straight up for another expiring if for some reason some team wants him.

Rebuilding will not be without pain.

I don't mean to be a grammar nazi, but the word is "moot".

"Mute" is what we wanted Steph to be more often: SILENT.

Thank You, I feel the same way, this is just basketball calm down.

Now back to basketball, Why should he not want to start? he is a ball player they all want to start. I have no problems with his comments.

I was actually okay with what Steph said. It was in response to a specific question and he stated he wanted to start but was okay with his role. Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah nothing wrong with it but someone has gotta tell him from his inner circle to shut up. He answered this question already. When they ask it again, just say, "I answered that question already". If they are persistant tell them to "google it".

Its a distraction cuz the reporters use it to sell papers and attract viewers. Other players have to be asked questions about steph too. "You hear steph said he think he's a starter?"....it sucks. Craw is being thrown into the mix and they are spinning it. Not good for the team.

I agree, but in Stephs case no matter what he says will be shaped by the media. He'd be better off pretending that he lost his tongue.

i think he's keeping it real by alluding to the fact that it's the coach's decision & that he can't do nothing about it... everyone knows he thinks he should be starting & isn't happy coming off the bench, we don't really need him to directly come out & say it, it's pretty obvious... that said, he still has to go... he's a clear cause of high tension in that Knicks' lockerroom & i don't see how u can build any team chemistry w/that type of presence keeping you from doing so.

I believe everyone should just let Marbury be who he is. Don't take it personally, don't react to any of it. Just let him be who is wants to be. He can only be a starter if D'Antoni says so. I believe that when the media and fans react to what he says, then it is the media and fans who self destruct.

Marbury is just being Marbury. What he says is all it is. It's nothing.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Im not sure why guys insist on listening to the media as if words don't get twisted. The guy can play basketball very very good, and is sick of losing, has been an all star and a starter his whole career, what the hell is he suppose to do, there are 10 to 15 reporters in his face every single day baiting him.

NY has a lot of media and every ones looking for a good story.
