You ever see Blount play or his contract? Both are cringe-worthy. Blount will have you longing for Eddy.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

First we need to make Isiah Tomas a GM of some team (NBA, WNBA, whatever). Then we will have some team which wants Eddy.

After watching them tonight, I think if Curry learns the system a little there is hope for him to play effectively for 15-20 mins per game. Some games 10 mins, some games closer to 20. That will allow Curry to go real hard during his time on the court and if the knicks go with a real small lineup and spread the court then curry has the chance to really benefit and get a lot of really easy baskets around the rim and teams will have trouble double teaming him. Mike Dantoni will also know how to effectively use him in the offense. All i'm saying is that he can be an asset on this team for 15 mins a night.

Blounts contract is a year shorter for slightly less money.....that's why I included Cook.

Complaining ass mofo.....you have anything to contribute besides your usual.

Stop whining like a girl. What do you contribute? Cursing all the time and ranting? Nice.

Anyway, Blount blows and nobody wants Curry so yes I have answered your question.

Why not revisit the convo with Memphis & discuss a Darko/Eddy trade? For starters, you already know they want a low post player.

I think MDA will work on Curry for a while and get him in the shape he wants before awarding him any real time. That's a good thing. I wouldn't really worry about trading him cuz we're gonna need a Big at some point and we can make good use of an in shape Curry.

I honestly think Walsh is gonna see what MDA can get out of these guys before he makes any moves. It's the smart way to play it at this point. We've got time to evaluate so why make a rash move now?

Why not? got a proposal idea?

Walker/Darko for Malik/Curry

Right off the bat, Walker is way better than Malik for this system and he allows Jared Jefferies to heal the right way. Darko can block some shots as we know and he's still young.

Contract? Walker makes slightly less than Curry for the same years. Malik makes slightly more than Darko for a year less. Malik gives Memphis an ending contract. If I'm not mistaken, Walkers has a team option somewhere on his deal.

I think it works clean without fillers or picks.

I'm a Genius......

oh yeah, let me add a mutha****er so the ignorant mofo's here me.

Memphis isn't a good destination. Marc Ivaroni is a D'Antoni disciple, if Curry doesn't fit here, he certainly won't fit there.

With all the running he is going to do in this system we might just see what an in shape Eddy Curry can do. If he can't do anything positive then get rid of him.

how about Curry to Oklahoma City for Donyell Marshall's expiring & Damien Wilkins? they could use a low post presence on that team to complement Durant, Green & Westbrooke's perimeter games... Marshall's a decent shooter so he might be of some use to use in D'Antoni's system... certainly a better fit than Malik... & Wilkins is probably an upgrade over Collins, so even tho they get the best player in Curry we get some added depth on the bench & get rid of cap in 2010 which fits Walsh's objective.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

good idea

edit:

OKC doesnt have Donyell Marshall.....they got Joe Smith in that trade they made.

Here's a trade that works but i dunno if anyone would do it:
Joe Smith, Desmond Mason, Wilcox and Wilkins for Eddy curry and Malik Rose

OKC reduces the roster while gaining a post presence. Eddy is the best player in the deal. Surrounding him with Collison, Watson, Green, Durant, and Westbrook would be nice to see indeed.

Knicks get Desmond Mason who is basically Pat Ewing Jr with experience. Damien Wilkins is the swing man i think the Knicks need off the bench to replace Q. Wilcox is an option at center for a year. Joe Smith could get waived asap.

What I don't understand is 'why are people down on Curry, when he hasn't even played one game in D'Antoni's system yet'? I say give him a chance to prove himself. Every other player seems to be responding well to the new system. Even Marbury. It might actually turn Curry into the kind of center we been needing for the last several years.

I'm for just about every player in this new system. As soon as they throw houston off the team, I'll be much more satisfied, knowing real change has finally arrived.
I'll never trust this' team again.

All Curry has to do is get in shape and play hard for 20-22 minutes off the bench against second line players / catch a few boards and we'll be a better team for it. We can bash Curry but NO team in the league has an Eddy Curry or a stephon Marbury coming off the bench. Our bench is very good--this is a deep team with many offensive players in an offensive system. They seem to be looking to play team ball and give it up for the best shot--so lets let it fly here for awhile with these guys.

Briggs, do you really have faith in Curry? Getting in shape alone is huge for him. The last time he was in shape was his last season in Chicago, and even then, he wasn't in the greatest of shape. He's never played in a running style. He NEEDS to play defense AND rebound, b/c if he can't, he'll be on the bench. How else do you initiate the fast break?

If Curry gets in shape, magically becomes a rebounder/defender/shotblocker and can somehow learn to move around the perimeter, which he never has, then i'll give you credit for having faith in him. I don't have faith in him though. He shouldn't be on the team.

Sorry but I stopped reading after that point. I don't know why I continued after the word "shape"; I was being generous, I guess.

The guy hasn't even played on game yet, like briggs said right now all he has to do is play a solid 20 minutes on the bench............. he isnt asking for the moon.

I dont think Curry with ever be svelt. At 25 all he has to do is get up and down the floor well. He can do that hard for 20 minutes. I think that will benefit him and make him more hungry for extra PT as well./
