...means LayDown will be OUTTA HERE NEXT YEAR!

http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/38652.htm

Read this article... Yeah it came out of the trashy NY Post, but it does mention that LayDown "guaranteed" McDyess' comeback this year.

Who crucified Chaney for playing Dyess in the '02 preseason? Listen, I was AT the game when Dyess fell down. I didn't criticize Done Chaney for the injury then or now. If I did, find the thread where I spoke out against Chaney regarding anything. I was pro-Chaney up until this damn KVH trade.

Yeah I was skeptical about the McDyess deal ever since it went down on draft day 2002. It didn't help us at all during the year-last season- when it was supposed to help the most. The year before that, the Ewing trade really did nothing to help our situation. Good ol' LayDown is staying consistent in his mission to destroy this team with the Keith Van Hype trade (mark my words). Every year the Knicks have participated in some "Blockbuster" trade, we always end up with the $hitty end of the stick. We have yet to get a good deal tradewise since we got Spree for Starks, Cummings and Mills.

Once again, the pattern is obvious.

You mean trade rumors in general or regarding McDyess? I haven't come across any trade new rumors involving the Knicks lately...

You'll be surprise this season for the knicks. Hopefully, the trade and picks turns out to be brilliant. No one knows until mid-season and when we're able to spot the knicks in the rankings. For now, all this trash bashing on layden is based on different opinions.

NO, it's based on the obvious. Those points have been discussed more than enough for them to be common knowledge to everyone who has participated in these debates. If we do well, cool. I just don't see it happening.

The draft picks were not brilliant, but rather simple. He took the best players available. No one gets a tickertape parade for that.

Aren't the trades (KVH and in the past too), as well as the nonsensical deals he gave players who didn't deserve the money, etc. (because we all know how this cat has screwed this team all the way the hell up) and bad business crap like that enough of a reason for anyone to understand that the word "brilliant" can't EVER be used in the same sentence as Scott LayDown? ()

At least another bad season (and especially if McDyess doesn't come back) will be more reason to get dumbass LayDown the hell outta there.

So many fans haven't turned on LayDown out of thin air. Enough of the amnesia already!

I think you guys are wrong. Serously. If Dice plays, then Van Horn starts to look good out on the wing. That would give you scorers in Houston, McDyess, Van Horn....and Andersen, Lampe, and Harrington/Postell/Nailon/whoeverisleft off the bench. If Thomas and Eisley chip in 10 each, we've got ourselves a game.

Another Fine NY Product

That's possible (and by no means definite) only IF Dyess comes back at a decent capacity. After what happened last year, I can't put stock into his return this time around.

The picks were smart picks. Layden and Chaney had to get the team bigger and younger which they successfully accomplished during this draft. These picks were not simple. You'll be surprised @ GM's who desperately needed to get bigger but instead would've taken a guard passing on Sweetney or Lampe.

That's why the knicks are remaining very cautious with his rehab program. They've been some reports that McDyess is doing very well and is way ahead of schedule. The Knicks brass would not comment on that because they rather keep a tight lip on the isssue. McDyess is scheduled for a CAT scan mid October to determine the progression of the knee, from there he will be told when he can begin training. Be optimistic and have faith!!

Son, I did that last year. Blind optimism is not my forte', brother. I let the pro-LayDown cats suck on that lolipop. I choose to go with my gut feeling and the clear vision regarding the crap this joke of a management team keeps doing to screw our team into oblivion.

Let's see where all this "faith" talk is if things end up worse than this year. McDyess isn't gonna come back with bionic knees because LayDown is "Tight-lipped". If Laydown's wallet matched his lips (and his ***) then the Knicks situation would be much better than it is now.

Hold your breath, and when Dyess comes back dropping 19/9 every night, then you can exhale and say you told me so. Okay?

Rev. Hardcoreknicksfan, thanks for the powerful statement you made, i was deeply amazed. Oh BTW, it won't hurt to do it again this yr. Blind optimism does not exist, there is no such thing. I agree with McDyess not ever playing again or no be the same but at least let's all be hopeful. There's nothing indicating that it's a crime....

You would have to love the "TEAM" to HAVE FAITH IN A INDIVIDUAL PLAYER TRYING TO MAKE A COMEBACK. Hating on Management has nothing to do with believing a player will come back after major surgeries. This is the reason why he's at home away from the media capital of the world where people scrutinize everything if it's not they're own way of thinking, or done the way they want things done as if they themselves were running things.

The rumored deal between the Mavs & Warriors is interesting. It's supposed to be announced/approved on Monday. Garbage aside...this is basically a Nick Van Exel/Antawn Jamison deal with the added exchange of decent rebounders Popeye Jones & the better, but more expensive Danny Fortson. I can see the sense from the Warrior angle (replacing Arenas). But the Mavs? Sure Jamison can score but didn't they become more of the same thing (a bunch of guns with little inside toughness)?

NYPOST:

The good news is that Houston has been in close contact with McDyess, he said, and is more certain than ever the power forward will play this season. McDyess had surgery on April 21 on his left patella - his third knee surgery in 18 months.

"It doesn't matter if it's October, there's no doubt he will be back," said Houston, appearing at the Knicks summer kids camp at Basketball City. ". . . My sense is he's ready to do more than the team is willing to allow him right now. He's got to be patient. You don't want to rush. He wants to do a little bit more."

If some of the doubters would stop and think, those country boys are made a lil different(eating neck bones+ gritz) than these fast food bustas from around da way.
