That was when he was running for the Senate and effectively said that two years in the Senate didn't qualify him. And Bonn if you did that was probaly correct-few high school students are qualified to be VP but this was a 43 year old man running for his first statewide office.

I dunno dude, if you are going to post something like this you also may want to put into thread title, etc that he said it back in 2004. And that he was asked if he would run on the National ticket in 2008.

Lame.

I think that posting comments made by someone running for office in 2008 about how he doesnt have the experience to run for office in 2008 isnt lame at all. Then again, theres nothing like 2 years in the senate to qualify you to be president of the united states. I guess when he made those comments in 2004 he didnt realize that in 2006 he would have been in the Senate two years. Or maybe he was being truthful and honest and admitted that by 2008 he wouldnt have even come close to having the experience necessary to be POTUS.

Obama will have alot to learn, but unlike McCain, who finished 894 out of 899 in his class, and Palin, who has no clue about the national economy and foreign policy, Obama is well-educated and has shown that he is a thoughtful and articulate forward-thinker. I trust his ability to figure it out more than I do McCain's so-called experience.

Obamas Ivy league education and the fact that he can give a good speech are his primary qualifications to be president. Let me ask you, how can you trust his ability to figure anything out. This is a guy who has 143 days of senate experience (days the senate was actually up and running) before he decided to run for president. This a guy who says himself that he is qualified to be president because he has the experience of running a presidential campaign lol. While he may very well have "the ability to figure it out" its impossible to know because he has never been tested, he has never accomplished anything during his short tenure as a senator or as community organizer, and he has no other experience to speak of!

If you say that Palin is also inexperienced and unqualified, I agree 100%. We all know why she was chosen. But if you say she has no clue about foreign policy and the national economy, then why are you supporting a man who is equally clueless? Why would you vote for a man who is going to raise taxes when we have a 6.1% unemployment rate? Any economics 101 student knows that a fundamental rule of economics is higher taxes= higher unemployment. Why is this man going to increase government spending when we have a 400 billion dollar defecit? This is a guy whos foreign policy experience is making a speech in Germany during a rock concert. If the vice president of the GOP is a shameless publicity stunt, then Obama is worse!

For anyone that believes that the average American voter is logical enough to properly investigate candidates positions and actions just read the above post.

Of course, anybody who disagrees with the enlightened, educated Obama supported is simply misinformed and illogical. Im sorry I forgot. Because of course if anybody did any research they would realize that Obama has been sent to save us all.

In intial post you added 2+2 and got 7. You routinely ignore that Obama is a United States Senator which is a pretty prominent position in the American government. You also stated a blatant falsehood I will say this again Obama's economic plan would only raise taxes on the higher income bracket i.e. NOT YOU OR ME but the people making close to or more then 7 figures.
And you also blame the high unemployment rate on high taxes because after all that's basic Economics 101 huh the only thing I will say about our high unemployment rate is that it's slightly more complex then high taxes? The funniest part is that all these messed up situations that exist right now horrible economy, out of control spending, and ****ed foreign policy is courtesy of you guessed it a Republican President.
