The kid has to get faster IMO.

But even then, do you think he is the kind of center Mike'd wants????

Joec, I'm not sure how awesome he really is 'if you have to point him out to us'.

Let's say this--from what I saw a couple of weeks ago was progression that tripled since last season ended. He is sleek very muscular with a powerful torso and what people will find out fast is his offensive skills have gone up 10 notches. The main thing is he's catching the ball and the power in his legs is noticeably stronger where he dictates position. He's huge athletic fast and his offensive skills are rapidly getting better. I expect we will see a few 30-20-5 games next year.

What happened to him late in the season? He looked like he was running in mud in the Big East tournament.

Who knows--doesn't really matter. I think he may have improved at the level of 50-75% on offense this offseason and he got into unbelievable physical condition. Nothing more to say but we'll have to see in Novemeber and I think there will be people shocked.

I didn't mean to be sarcastic, but usually when someone in college is an up and coming star, everybody already knows what he looks like. I think that's a fair way of putting it.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I don't mean to sound sarcastic--if you havent heard of Hasheem Thabeet until today--I have serious doubts you know any current college player.

Dude, don't you remember? I did' follow the college playoffs and this kid was only a freshmen. How could I avoid hearing about him with you spreading the word all over the place? I was talking about pictures he put up and telling us which one he was. It was a fair point of view.

And you still haven't made the article into a link!

if you don't know who hasheem thabeet is and you didn't bother to read the article or look at the pictures your opinion/reaction seems pretty unneccesary.

it's looking like thabeet will be a top 5 pick next year, but i'd be shocked if he was a guy d'antoni would want.

Now hold on there a second buddy! I already heard of the guy and already seen pics of him. Even seen a video of him. My whole point (which wasn't even directed at you) was if someone wants to say that someone is the next best thing, then to have to point who he is in a picture, doesn't really support the fact that he's the next best thing. When LeBron was in H.S. everyone already knew what the dude looked like, because they knew that he was' going to be the next best thing. I just thought it was funny that someone had to point out exactly which one he was. What's so unnecessary about that? Perhaps you only read 20% of my quote? Or could it just be 'classic' srzymdups? It's all funny to me.

And no, I didn't read the article because it's not a hot link. I am tired of having to make them into a link. BRIGGS gotta learn how to make them readable.

you're tired of cutting and pasting, huh? you knew what chris bosh, dwyane wade, chris paul, carmelo anthony looked like in HS? it seems like a pretty ridiculous comment. it just seems like needless nitpicking that added nothing to the conversation.

thabeet is currently ranked no.5 in the 2009 draft on nbadraft.net. it's a safe bet most nba scouts probably wouldn't need him pointed out in a picture. lebron james was one of the biggest HS basketball stars of all-time. they put his games on national TV. i don't know another HS player you could say that of, so it seems like a weird comparison.

Well, just to stroke my own ego, the guy i wanted the Knicks to draft if he declared was Blake Griffin... and he's number one right now on nbadraft.net. [/patonback]

But in fairness, the other was Tyler Smith who's 17... but just you watch him climb the rankings.
