Alan Hahn recently brought it up again.

What was the prevailing opinion on this? Keep in mind it could mean more Adriana Lima sightings at the Garden.

I would do it with Mark and Darko but I'd really rather it be Darko for Zach stragihtup. There is no reason for us to have to take Marko Jaric and that horrible contract.

Marko Jaric is still a nice option at shooting guard. Knicks currently don't have a back-up to Crawford.

Even if the Knicks were to get Darko.......where is he gonna play? Back-up 4/5? Cool.....so where does Gallo fit? Back-up 3/4? Fine......I say do it.

But don't downgrade Zach's talent.....Memphis will be a serious problem with Zach, Gay, mayo, conley, gasol, etc.....

Yo, can the Knicks get Memphis to throw a point guard in? Whew.....Donnie can't sell us short, an I think he isn't cuz if something was gonna pop it would have already. I think the talks are getting heavy though.....lets hope for the best.

I would do it but the modified version: Zach and Marty for Darko Jaric and Crittenton. I like the potential of Crittenton and they want to move one of their PG's.

imho, knicks should move eddy for a shorter deal and hold onto zach for next season.

I dont get why everyone wants to give up on Randolph so easily. Give him atleast a half a season with this coach... gees. Darko? Jaric?? wow.

d'antoni got away with playing amare at center for 4 years. play zach + lee together. knicks aren't stopping anybody this year anyway.

a flip to the strategy is instead of trying to get under the cap in 2010, the knicks should acquire talent now that enter their final years in 2010. that will arm them with some talented expirings other than the malik rose type expiring so they can still pursue s&t options during the summer of 2010.

I'd also prefer no Jaricaround. But when Adriana is involved, why not?

As for Darko, he'll never live up to his potential, but I like the rebounding and shotblocking. I think he'd be a solid option at the 5 for Mike D. So, yes, to echo Nalod, less is more here.

Dj - amare is a world class athlete. Zach is probably better but amare could play center cuz of those hops of his. Zach would get the rock smashed back in his face all day.

Still its an option I'd rather do because there are ways to get around the size and run/jump ability of Zach.

Donnie doesn't seem like he's up for making any moves. That's why I was trashing him a little cuz of his lack of player movement. I like the idea of stockpiling to have possible trade/s&t options as well.

As it stands though, if Zach is traded for Darko, with whatever comes along with it. I'm down.

Defense is going to be so different this year. The guys that are smart and hustle will be good defenders in this system. Phoenix plays a scramble defense and always double the ball in the paint. I hope we get Marko a good guy who wants to be in NYC.
