I could care less about the BS about his age-experience--the guy is a 7-1 270 pound skill C who can put the ball on the floor rebound pass and also take it outside. Put KT back to PF and put Lampe right into the fray. We are not winning this year,but Maciej Lampe is the key to the Knicks future. He deserves a 4-5 year contract just like a first round pick perhaps 4 years for 5mm and a year option. I would like the Knicks to get this done. Stop lally gacking with the BS trade stuff and take careof your own. This guy is a true potential franchise C and the best thing for the franchise is to let him get his bumps and bruises.

For those who have not seen him he is HUGE. he has a tremendous frame and from all accounts he is still growing and is AGGRESIVe with more heart than most and or all of the current Knick players.

I kind of laugh when I hearsome people saying Ndiyae should start????? Lampe outplayed him and hes 7 years younger in SL by far!

We got lucky. It's impossible for us to know his skills before the draft because you just dont get to see him play--but Im a bit shocked the Knicks didnt take him 9 and the whole frikin league missed the boat. lampe and Sweetney truly give NY hope for the future-we need one more good draft like this one--maybe Okafor and Julius Page?

Hey i agree.Lampe is not athletic like Nowitzki.I dont see the comparison,so i dont even know y they did that.But he is quick for a center.Like Duncan n B.Miller.

If guys like Boozer and Tinsley gets playing time and their skills are no better off than Lampe, Chaney should not hold Lampe back.

And if you plan on taking chances in developing young talent, now its time to show and tell....building confidence sets the foundation for talent to succeed.

I think Lampe should be given around 30 minutes. You know if Googs never went down, Stoudamire would probably never got the chance last season to prove he was rookie of the year. Chaney's got to give the rookie some minutes (whether at the 3, 4, or 5) , cause based on these stat lines its obvious hes got talent.

He isn't too sure if he'll play at all in NY this year.

Snowman, don't mind these fools who get a hard on talking about Layden, Chaney and Houston. These same rocks will be there cheering when they see Don Chaney work with what he has and shock the world and make the playoffs without Mewell, to prove my point we didn't need spree to make the playoffs and he was the guy out of position who miss 8 games and helped us actually miss the playoffs.

PLAYA i agree, i think the KNICKS will make the playoffs this year. Will we in the championship..... OFCOURSE NOT, but its a start. You will have guys say we won't make the playoffs, then when we do, you will have guys say, we won't win the championship, so what. We are rebuilding, playoffs is a great accomplishment for a team in our position. Plus is will shut up all the SPREWELL fans who think he was the reason we made it to the playoffs the last 2 yrs..OOPS WE DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS THE LAST 2YS WITH SPREWELL HEADLINING !!!!
