I think Walsh is a believer in dealing from strength. Why trade now, when you could have a half season or season of pumping up player values before trading them. Only time will tell if this is a good strategy.
what happens to Zach & Curry's value if they fail to perform under D'Antoni? Can a player become more worthless?
Does anyone believe the Clippers only wanted Zach if we gave up a first round pick?
And I guess buying a late first rounder for the draft would have been dealing from weakness?
Zach and Curry's value can't go down any furthur .....unless they get injured. But that is a risk any time someone steps on the court.
The Clippers wanted too much from us or didnt give enough for Zack. When do we play them. I hope we beat them by 30 points. They don't have a good offense and their 2 defensive stalwarts (Kamen and Cambry ) are great defensively on half court but they won't be able to keep up with a fast transition game we will play. That will nullify Camby's (34 years old) and Kamen's strengths.
"Buying a late first round pick".....I wholeheartily agree with you that we should have done that. A
BIG mistake by Knicks mgmt. One for which I havent forgiven them. Or getting an early 2nd round pick. A number of very good players were available who could have helped us a lot.

The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.
