If Roberson did sign a 2 year deal, that makes these next few summer league games more interesting. With guys looking out for themselves in summer league, maybe a guaranteed contract will take off some pressure on Roberson to shoot every damn time he catches the ball. I'd love to see how well he can handle and find his teammates.

The guy can shoot, no question about that. At the very least, he could serve an Eddie House role on this team.

Maybe knowing he has a deal will get him to pass the friggin ball at some point.

Very good - we were needing a shooting guard. He is inexpensive, young and with some experience. A good fit.

If he was 2-4 inches taller. Nate is better....but you can't have enough shooters and we needed one right?

Point is that Roberson is the back-up to the back-up. At virtually no cost, no players traded; no draftpicks lost. Not a big deal for the Knicks, but a good insurance for the season in case of injuries.

Now we have the 5 guards needed to start the season- Duhon, Jamal, Nate, Mardy, and Roberson. Marbury is history!

I got to admit it now, it really does look like Marbury is history. I guess they see his "immense talent" as being overshadowed by his divisive team play. I really thought we would keep him, perhaps more is in the works (cuts, trades, etc.) and we don't cut him. Perhaps we don't want to help teams like Miami out so soon. If we are indeed going to cut him, considering his talent, you don't want to assist other teams.

Probably have to waive him.....or
in trade take back $20 million in contracts?? Can we play a waiting game with the other GMs?? Just have Marbury sit out and not buy him out yet and have Jerome James take the medical retirement?? Wait for an offer? This scenario doesn't seem very probable.
So I think it will be a buy out of Marbury. But not immediately.

Supposedly he hasn't missed at all in practice. Knicks didn't want him to bolt to another team's camp.

So roster wise, we likely delete Fred Jones, Marbury, JJFat and add Duhon, Gallinari, Roberson so far.

Butler is gone. Knicks need to lose one more player.

Yeah - just pass it once in a while, Anthony.

His role might end up being Eddie House. He's never really been a PG.

The kid is not just a shooter he can also get to the hole and pass. They said he practice he was driving, passing and shooting.

Not Butler, Morris (but essentially the same thing).

I think the Jannero Pargo comp. is a very good one.
