I would agree with this but Gallinari is going to immediately leave here to play with his Italian team. So he is playing basketball no matter what. Might as well see what he has so he can work on his game.

Maybe thats reason enough? Give him some time to rest before he goes back to Italy to play there? I know back injuries can linger...

That completely slipped my mind. Still, don't want to risk anything during summer league. Perhaps the coaching staff figures he'll have enough time to work on his game during the Olympics.

If he's going back to playing basketball in Italy, we could end up with another Fredric Weis job. trying to play with a bad back could reck him.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Summer league is pointless. If he is hurt and he is your future there is no need to play him. The media is turning Summer League into this all important, essential being, when in reality it really isnt' that important.

The toughness factor bip wasn't brought up in you're disecting of "the gall" and his weaknesses.

Euro's aren't know to be physical players in the NBA , so will "the gall" be potentially injury prone once he laces them up against NBA STUDS?

One drive to the basket and percaussionary measures are needed. WOW

he can't even make it through one summer league game?

Granted- Tractor Traylor is dangerous and probably shouldn't be allowed on the court with other athletes- but still!

Hey- at least he doesn't have tendenitis like Rose or a cracked sternum like Beasley.

Rose, Beasley, Gordon, Randolph. Just the players off the top of my head that have sustained injuries so far.

Coming from Europe summer league can never be considered pointless.

#1 The speed of the game is a "MAJOR' adjustment, also it prepares him for the preseason against guys who have atleast a shot to make rosters.

"THE GALL" mind you is only 19 he isn't Einstein, he needs an adjustment period in this league and SL and preseason would be a great tune-up.

Only Beasley's injury was determined by physical contact, the others were hamstring(gordon),ankle(randolph) and tendinitis(rose)

And in beasley's case the(elbow to the sternum)he still TOUGHED IT OUT played in the next SL game.

Traylor busted through Galinari's chest on offense 2-3 times, I mean the kid was trying but Traylor just ran right through him, then Traylor demolished him on another drive (Which really should have been a shooting foul.).

Galinari should be sore. Is it bad enough for him to sit? Let's let he and the doctors determine that.

I'd like to see him play again if possible.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

We just got rid of TrueBlue and his stupid nicknames, now we gotta read "The Gall" a hundred times per thread?
Give it a rest.

Galinari's back was injured prior to the SL game. What would be more concerning? A player being injured as a result of contact or one that became injured without contact?
