ESPN Insider Chris Sheridan reports the New York Knicks and Chris Duhon are close to an agreement that would give the former blue devil 11.5 million over the next two seasons. Donnie Walsh met with Duhon today and it appears it won't be his last.

This is awesome, you gotta give Donnie some credit for only signing him for 2 years. It's great to have a GM who tells us his plan and STICKS to it. Awesome news, I think Duhon will be a pretty good player under D'Antoni.

Money is high but the contract is short. Fiscal responsibility! Jesus, I feel like I'm rooting for an NBA team again.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

thats not a bad deal at all, throw the kid all the money u can for 2 years. Then if he proves him self, he gets more. Why not. GOODBYE STEPH!! i think its official

Duhan/Collins is a nice PG combo
Jamal/Nate
Chandler/Balk/QRich
Zach/Lee/Danilo
Curry/JJeffries

lol.

it's a big chunk of change, but they'll save almost that much by buying out marbury (figure $3 million in savings on the buyout and another $4-5 when Marbury signs to a MLE with some poor sucker)

if marbury is bought out, he might be the guy going to the clips if diddy goes elsewhere.

Pause No Homo Duhon I believe wears contacts or has these really light brown eyes so what may have been precluded the request was I SAY UGH telling Duhon he's easy on the eyes. I mean we all know I SAY UGH was there during negotiations hammering the numbers out.

It's a safe signing nothing more nothing less just like the draft pick. Except Duhon comes at far less risks and paves the way to Marbury posting up on the corner with a "Why Lie I Need A Beer Sign."

I think Marbury will sign with the Heat or Cavs if he's let go. Darkhorses Houston, Kings, or Lakers

its a great chance for Duhon. He's a good playmaker and a good defender. There will be scorers on this team and he's got the best offensive coach in the NBA. Duhon is the the kind of guy that can play his way into a big contract. Everything is there for him to suceed. I am happy for him and if those are the terms excellent job by Walsh.

Mike D and Walsh must already be at odds, as Duhon likes to play defense which is something Isles has proven Mike clearly frowns upon

I can feel the strain between Mike and Walsh from here.

it's clear that D'Antoni will force him to work on his jumper and alley oop passes at the expense of his defense. duh.

also, this move was clearly orchestrated by the puppet master. also, the formal press conference will probably come at 5pm this friday.

I think the money is a little high for a reserve of Duhon's capabilities. I'm happy with it only being two years, at least. Overall, Duhon is solid; can't complain too much from that point of view.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Bulls where better when Duhon was playing more and BG came off the bench. He's a glue guy and a floor general. Great passer, tough defender, great attitude... a leader. I hope he does well here. Old school Knick type.

it seems like we overpaid a little in order to get the shorter commitment of 2yrs.

but duhon has done very well for the bulls when he's started.

Definitely not a typical Isiah signing. I like his work ethic and the mentality he would bring to the Knicks. Considering the cancerous environment that has surrounded the Knicks for so long, this sort of move can only be seen as a positive, despite the slightly high price tag.
