I think Duhon would be a nice addition to this team. Gives us a solid 25 minutes a game and not cost a lot of money.

I really hope we dont buy out Marbury. I would like to have his contract on the books come Feb. If we could somehow squeeze out 3 quiet months out of him it would give us a great piece in Feb

I'm tempted to agree, but I really don't want him around the team. Maybe keep him on the books and tell him to stay away from the team.

but I think in Walsh and D'Antoni's view it's really best just to sever the relationship.

I am happy with Duhon, he makes sense, and hey, maybe he develops into something more under D'Antoni. Walsh is bringing in no nonsense, non-flashy players so far that fit what D'Antoni needs. I hope this also means they are considering holding on to Lee.

That doesn't bother me in this case. It's not really about what the player does with another group and coach. It really is going to be a different situation here with this team and whatever our roster will end up being next season. For us Duhon would serve a purpose to hold the spot until the 2010 scenario takes place. Remember this is all about the future for this team. Sure we want to start winning some games, but in the end it's about the end game.

duhon was the starter on the bulls team that won 47 games, or rather, he was coming off the bench when they started 0-9 and he started for them as they went 47-26 the rest of the way. he can at least get the ball to curry in the post, if nothing else.

his overall fg% is low, but i'm pretty sure he shoots mainly 3pt shots. his assist to turnover ratio is nice. he's not a run and gun guy, but he'll be solid.

not sure if this is true, but i heard from some bulls fans on realgm that there was an internal dispute on the team last year, that many on the team wanted duhon to start at point over hinrich, as they felt he ran the offense better.

Thanks for that King. Do you know if D'Antoni views him as a starter or a backup?

I can't believe we're about to sign a dude that people have heard of for HALF of the mid-level. I don't think Isiah knew you could do that.

Next year, hell we might even be able to move Duhon's contract without taking back a terrible deal.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

It's nice to have Charlie Ward back with us. I hope they don't throw Wards/Childs money at Duhon. He's a nice backup, decent starter in a pinch.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

ESPN Insider Chris Sheridan reports the New York Knicks and Chris Duhon are close to an agreement that would give the former blue devil 11.5 million over the next two seasons. Donnie Walsh met with Duhon today and it appears it won't be his last.

Charlie Ward looks pretty appealing after what we've been through.

I don't trust the Knicks with an expiring contract, especially amidst rumors that Gallinari was really Isiah's pick.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
