This better not be a negotiation tactic. He would want a lucrative contract which would jeopardize our Cap.

I'd be thrilled if Baron joined the Knicks.

Yeah I know he's had his history of injuries in the past, but during his time with the Warriors he was nothing short of amazing. I had NBA League Pass and this guy literally won the Warriors atleast 10 games a year himself alone the past 2 years.

I think Baron Davis is everything that Stephon Marbury never was in the NBA, he puts up 20&8 but he doesn't have that horrible attitude and scowl to go with it and he's definitely a team leader. He's 29, which means if he does come to the Knicks, I hope its for no more than 3 years, but I guess we'll have to see about that. Either way, I think its a great move if the Knicks can get him, although the guy I really want from the Warriors is Monta Ellis.

Remember Monta said he wanted to play for the Knicks and now supposedly he wants to play for the Heat?

I'm tired of players putting our name in the mouths.

I really don't think we're going to put all our eggs in the Baron basket.

I would assume that's pretty possible so when his extension is complete that he's only 31 and he can still get one more payday.

That's not even possible. It would be for the MLE or for a huge payday S&T. I can't see him playing here for the MLE.

doubt he takes no less than 3 guaranteed. prolly could do something like 3 yrs 45-50 mil with a team option for the 4th

if this is the case lebron to the brook prolly is a just a matter of when
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

on a MLE then hell yeah but he's not signing no MLE to come here... on a longterm S&T then please pass.

It's not! Once a player opts out he's negotiating from zero. Extension is no longer an option. It's a brand new contract at what cost to us?

It would be the Marbury mistake a second time.

I can't see how he'd get a 6 year contract at this point in his career. That would put him at 35 and he's already had injury problems? I like Baron as a player but signing him to a 6 year deal would be a mistake.

For a 2 year deal I'll take him.

Baron Davis is one of my favorites. Where is Marv? He also likes Baron Davis.

Can we send GS Lee & Crawford (& Jefferies)?

Do something like this and we shift the dollars from 2/3 players (Crawford & Lee) to one, so the cap hit while real, is managed a bit.

Just don't do it without insurance.

According to Screamin' Stephen, Davis opted out in hopes of prying an extension out of Golden State. He said he would love to play in NY, but his first priority is getting paid.

I don't see the MLE being much of an option for Diddy, and with anything more than that, I wouldn't be interested in him. He's a hell of a player, but always thought of him as more of a chucker. I'd love to get a true point guard and not another undersized two guard to run this team.

Clipper are after Boom-Dizzle as I said they would be. Stephen A. is a moron and who couldn't see Baron was looking to get paid.

It looks like the Baron Davis to NY rumors have been quashed after a very brief life. I'm glad.

The last thing we need is to sign ANYBODY to a giant contract. I want to dump salary, play the young guys, and LOSE games next year! I want that #1 pick!
