He says hearing the boos is part of the job.
He's 6'9" without shoes.
His nickname is Gallo - which means rooster. It was also his father's nickname.
He was asked if there was something of Nowitzki and Okur in his game and he said he thought so, but they're bigger.

He likes pressure. He's used to it. In Italy everyone expect big things from him.

Tierney's 35th birthday. He conducted a good interview.

He's a funny and down to Earth kid. Glad to have him.

Everyone is comparing him to Dirk. What about Peja Stojakovic(sp?), but with balls?

How about a 6'9" Sarunas Marcioulonus? I don't know if you remember him, but he was one bad mother. He drove to the basket harder than any other European player in the NBA has.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I haven't heard any comparisons to Dirk. I've heard Bargnani, Kucok, Detlef Schrempf, Turkeyglue except of course by our fans because we're trying to over inflate the upside of the selected pick.

you know how about a video of this guy

I don't know why the comparisons are limited to Europeans.

i think he was the right pick. biggest need was SF, not PG, and they got the best one on the board.

Nice. Bargnani is what you think he will be? Funny because I didn't see the comparison, especially with this video. Why don't you go back to jumping on a 6'3 SG's jock? I think it's the best for all of us.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Detlef Schrempf is miles better than Peja, as is Kukoc. I'd rather he was a Detlef. His game seems most like Kukoc's to me, but maybe with a little more fire. If he is an above average player like that who can be a legit starter, I'm fine with it.

Why do you keep deflating the upside of the pick? Would you rather be right about your assessment of the pick and have the knicks suck or be wrong and have the knicks get a good player? I think I know the answer.

Gallinari has a lot more Odom to his game than Anthony Randolph, Briggs. AR is more like Chris Bosh meets Kate Moss.

SMH @ you.

I went back and looked at what the Mock boards project who his game is similar to. I don't particular care for player comparisons myself and I really haven't said who his game is similar to. This isn't my player comparison moreso what other sites have said about his game. Jay Bilas has compared him to possibly being better than Bargnani. I linked the video to Bargs to show all the hype that was behind this kid as he entered the league and you can look at all the Youtube crap all you want. It doesn't mean anything.

Peja btw was a damn good player but he much like the rest of his sactown teamates were all second fiddles.......check his sactown stats not his current stats in New Orleans. He was top notch. We can be confident in saying that Dano will be more ballsy than Peja, but if he can bring those numbers to NYKs? Sucsess.

Edit:

20pts per with 5 rebs a game with good percentages? in his 3rd season? Oh yeah that's ballin.....

Peja was a star... flat out. His probem was he went Van Horn in the big games.

This guy was among leaders in steals (among other stats). You cant compare Euro stats to NBA/CBB stats. Its not the same.

exactly.. they are nothing alike. But I will say this, I am not a Bargnani fan, I think he is just too much of a perimeter player for a 7 footer, but lets not get it twisted, the guy can shoot and he isn't a scrub. Being the first pick I think is the worst thing to happen to bargnani, the expectations are through the roof... Anyway, he manages to bust our azz when he plays the knicks, so go figure..

As far as not picking one of these small combo guards, it is really getting tired. The clippers needed a PG and passed on bayless, The bobcats took augustine over bayless, he obviously on other teams boards was not regarded that high as a PG...
