When I see Hollis Price getting 16 points and Marc Jackson 15 a game and Ezrem Lorbeck 13 point per game it really doesnt impress me that Galinari gets 14 and 4 per game against Bracey Wright. Walsh said he is a four is this really true.

It's better than NCAA basketball. If NBA is Major League, Euroleague is AAA and NCAA is AA.

That's what I keep hearing from the Knicks, Fran "I hate college ball because they won't hire me" Fraschilla and Chad Ford.

King 1--very different game---that is why Euros struggle in the nBA and why the superior NBA athletes have struggled in the Olympics. But notice the crp/rejected/cut NBA players dominate the euro leagues. The projection is very hard--notice in many of these Gallinari videos that it looks like he is going up against 6-5 no- name scrubs who wouldnt take the floor at places like Uconn or Ucla Duke florida. Too bad we couldnt get Alexander and Gallinari on the cort or Radnolph and gallinari on the court for some 1-1s. My bet is joe would ram a few down his throat.

It depends on the competition. The NcAA is such a wide landscape of 300 plus schools obviously the comp is watered down. How do you count for College players fatten up their stats on the likes of UNCgreensboro, and florida international?

Most americans that do excell over thier are usually former all americans. Bracey wright was a big time player at Indiana University.

Some can, some can't.

Ginobili, Biedrins, Nowitzki, Peja, Gasol, Parker, and other people I can't think of are people who have been successful in the NBA and came from Europe.

Guys like Bargnani, Nene, and Giricek are role players at best and others become crap like Skita or Darko.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

What I am saying a guy that get 14 a game against guys who cant play in the NBA and 4 rebounds and he comes over here and you expect something of him this year isntr fair to the kid.

I hope everyone realizes that he's gonna take some time. At the same time, he was a kid dominating men over there this past season, so he's got an experiential advantage over most teenagers coming into the league this year.

He played 11 times with the Euroleague he played most of his games against Gerald Fitch, and a guy that averged 18 a game in Italy Drake Diener. I think they will regret getting a Augustin or EG.

I don't expect anything of him this year and I hope many feel the same. He is a long-term player and he wont reach his potential for a while.

As for the American guys, they go better there because Europe focuses less on defense and plus these guys have played in the NBA and play their American game against guys who have never seen them before.

i think that's true of any major team sport, not just hoops, but on the average if you judge the level of overall competition in the NCAA's, whether it's hoops, baseball or football, & then you compare that to what you can see playing professionally overseas, there's not much of a dropoff if at all... obviously the cream of the crop from the NCAA's are gonna dominate in any international league, but there's also a lot of crap that will never be able to sniff even a D-league roster playing on NCAA teams too... i think we have to judge the talent base as a whole & not just focus on the top percentile of talent that comes out from each league.

Exactly and if I remember right didn't Langdon use to be a great player on Duke? So this means nothing.

If they wanted Eric Gordon or Augustin, they would have taken them. They took the guy they wanted. Though they were hoping to add the #5 and get Mayo or Westbrook, too.
