-Rose will be a Bull.

-Miami and Beasley-Character issues with Beasley revolve around maturity and work ethic. Nothing to suggest Beasley is a bad guy or will be a bad player. Beasley is ultra talented. Basically, went on a little thing about hard work. Ford said 95% of players have to work hard. 5% can stumble out of bed and dominate (like Iverson). Said Beasley may fit in that 5%.

-Guy that stands out later in the draft is CDR. Says he is slipping. On 1st round bubble. Doesn't know why he's slipping.

-Tommy John just asked about the 3rd and 4h round of the draft.............

-Says Miami IS taking Beasley unless there is a great deal.

-Miami also told Bayless he is an option at #2.

--Commercial. OJ Mayo coming on next. Ford is sticking around.--

On a side note, I respect Tommy John and elder players like him, but today is the NBA Draft. They couldn't find somebody to cover the Mikes who fit a little bit better being what the news of the day will be?

If CDR is slipping, Walsh needs to wake the **** up and buy a late first round pick to get him. Like Portland did while Walsh was taking his afternoon siesta.

-OJ on--

-Asked what specifically the Heat told him. Basically they told him "in the running" for the #2 pick. OJ VERY polite. Calling everyone MR. Ford asks where OJ wants to play. OJ-"I'll play anywhere, I just want to play in the NBA".

-Chad Ford "What's the argument OJ Mayo should go #2?" OJ-"I'm really gonna bring it every night, be a good teammate. A guy that's gonna learn anf listen from the vets. I am really gonna help the team out any way I can, guard PG's like Chris Paul and Deron Williams".

-Tommy John "What is your best asset, and what do you need to work on?" OJ "Best at my jumpshot, need to work on being a PG".

-OJ works out with Tim Grover.

-OJ "There are people out there who have their opinions about me. I just try to be the best person I can be every day"

-Ford "Controversy not affecting his draft status.". Ford says alot of NBA GM's expect great players are getting something. He asked OJ if he thought the system was corrupt. OJ sidestepped it gracefully.

--OJ Off--

Ford- Wolves say they are going to draft Mayo. Minny not the best fit due to all their combo guards. Ford says he expects Minny to trade out and someone will trade up with Minny.

OJ Mayo is not a PG and it would be a huge mistake to try to make him into one.

Ford:

Something about 3 GM's calling and asking if the Heat are trading Wade for the #1. Not even worth mentioning.

I think the Knicks need to trade to get the #3 pick and take Mayo - that is really their best option. Now can it realistically happen? Walsh would have to be a magician.

CDR and Bill Walker(Knee Holds Up) steals of the draft and it won't even be close considering where they'll probably be picked.

raps trying to get another pick in the first round (they have 41 from indy)...probably for CDR.
Is he done?

Not by a longshot.

Even as we were digesting Jermaine O’Neal, there was a flurry of activity in the Raptor offices until late, late last night and there’s every chance Bryan Colangelo’s got a few things up his sleeve.

Not a lot of downtime time today, it seems.

Word was he’s working on getting another pick – maybe two – in tonight’s draft to find people to groom for the future.

There are no details, of course, but it’s obvious around the league (see New Orleans, Denver) that picks are for sale and available.

What do you mean they have pick 41 from Indy? From the O'neal trade?

That's what the Jamrio Moons, Anthony Parkers of the world are for. JC is known to get bargain players to play for his team. Plus he has the MLE and LLE to work with along with Kapono and possibly Bargs.

He needs to demand the Pacers second round draft pick and start buying other picks in the draft with cash.

I don't know why they haven't contacted the two of us for GMing internships?
