Remember, while everyone else is dissing him, DG is going to suprise everyone. He is not some chump who averaged 5pts and 3rebs a game in 10mins of action in a overrated league. This kid is the real deal !! Please don't talk about athleticisim and quickness because ( not comparing ) Dirk is slow, no defense and no lateral ability. The same with Nocioni of the Bulls. Remember, I TOLD YOU SO !!!

Think Bostjan Nachbar.

I don't know how to judge DG. I have never seen him play and I hate just watching youtube highlights and looking at stats because it really tells you nothing. If Walsh picks DG, then I'll trust him, he's earned it.

I'm not saying he's good, I'm not saying he's bad, I'm just saying I have no idea what kind of player he is.

In Mike D's system, all he needs to do is rebound, good handles and a jumper. He has that, now will he work in any NBA teams system ?? NO ! But we are talking Mike's system. Isles, i'm thinking Dirk / Nocioni / AB just at 19yrs old and a better skill set then they did at 19.

There's no way he's anything close to Dirk. He's not a hardnosed player like Nocioni. Who is AB?

Isles, i'm talking when they were 19 compared to DG at 19. AB is Andreas Bargarni for Toronto. ( spelled name wrong ? )

TMS i can go with that comparison with Toni but remember Toni was older when he arrived while at 19, DG can still be molded into a true NBA player like Dirk & Nocioni.

Oh ok. I still don't see the comparison to Dirk or Nocioni. A smaller version of Bargnani maybe but that's not the greatest endorsement.

i agree, Toni was probably more polished & that's an excellent point... this wasn't a dig on Danilo btw, i happen to think Kukoc was a key role player on those teams that won titles in CHI & would love to add a player like that to my team anyday.

TMS, did Toni limit himself back with the bulls to blend in with the team which already belonged to MJ and Scottie ?? Remember when MJ quit, Phil wanted to give the keys to Toni and not Scottie !! Remember how Scottie refused to finish that game ??

I think its interesting how that guy on NBA TV who follows international ball says this dude is the truth will be way better than bargnani

If he were that good, he'd be working for an NBA team and not commenting on NBA TV.

None, i will not lie like some others here and pretend to be a scout for ultimateknicks. lol. Seriously, i watched the same stuff as the rest of you guys, I just like what i see and the way he fits into Mike D's offense specifically. Again, he is not for every NBA team like Beasley is, he is a unique fit for our system.

BlacKat, Kukoc put up 19 / 7 / 5 the first full season he became a fulltime starter (strike shortened season so it was only 44 games)... that's better than what Allan Houston was putting up that same year... he was a really nice player & the Knicks would be lucky to get a player like him... if Gallinari turns out to be like Kukoc i have a hard time seeing people being angry that we picked him.

I really don't know what his potential is, but I hope he'll be at least as good as Fredrec Weis.
