I was thiking about who Charlotte might draft and I realized, I totally forgot about Morrison who was hurt last year. With LB in the fold, and with G Wallace and Dudley two hard-nosed defending SF's who seem to fit the LB mold, I wonder how would Morrison fit in with their plans moving forward?

Despite Morrison getting of to an uneven start in his rookie year, I think he still has the potential to be a big scorer in the league espcially in D'Antoni's spread offense. LB is familiar with Lee and he fits the type of player LB might be looking for.

At 9, one of the following players should still be there for us; Gordon, Augustine, Randolph, Westbrook(unless Charlotte takes him at 6).

no way. i might offer them the 6 alone for Morrison and 9, but why throw in DLee? especially since they're one of the teams rumored to have promised Westbrook?

Randolph will be there at 9, it seems, but then we have a very wispy front line with Randolph and Morrison. I don't like Morrison's game and have zero faith in him developing, so i'm biased.

He struggled a bit in his rookie year, but so did Gay and Aldridge before they had brake out seasons last year. Morrison was hurt last year so he's a year behind.

I think Morrison can become one of the most prolific shooters in this league. He's a gym-rat, at 6'8 he can get his shot over most SF's and he's a very tough-minded player. I think Lee/or a good player has to be included because Morrison was the 3rd pick in the 06 draft. Charlotte aint giving him up just to move up 3 spots.

WTF. Why does everybody want to "give away" Lee?

Its an interesting idea but I would not combine lee and #6 to move down to #9 and get a sickly (diabetic), slow and unconfident player in Morrison.

Like crzy said, #6 for morrison and #9 is fair.....or lee for #9 and morrison makes even more sense. I have a feeling in my gut that Donnie wants Gordon. Maybe Gordon and Morrison is better going forward than Lee and his expected contract extention.

Morrison had a swagger in college and he was dominant. He may have totally lost it playing guys like gerald in practice.

I think that's a great trade idea.

One of either Westbrook, Randolph or Alexander would be available at 9.

Its just options. Adam Morrison isn't even cleared to play in summer league yet.....just some good speculation

The Knicks have 3 guys Lee, Zach and Curry who all can go for the good of the team.....Knicks can find others that fit better with whatever it is these D'alsh holes wanna do.

How do you "Give" Lee away for a fomer college player of the year and a number 3 pick in the 06 draft? If anything, Lee might not be enough. Morrison solves our need for a Sf (i'm still not convinced that Chandler and Balk aren't career back-ups) and we still get a the 9 pick in the draft to tend to another need.

I see no indication that Morrison has more NBA game than Matt Carroll. He's just uglier.

Lee's proven he can play and Morrison hasn't.

You must be joking. Your comparing Morrison to a role/bench player in Carroll? Look, Morrison had an up and down rookie season, just as most rookies have (Deron Wiiliams, Gay, Aldrige, etc) but I've seen Morrison enough to tell that if given the opportunity, he can be a big time scorer in this league.

I would pull the trigger on that deal aswell, but I highly doubt Charlotte would. Wallace strikes me as a LB player

So we give up the better player in Lee and the earlier pick for the worse player in Morrison and the later pick and the reason for this is the magic word - UPSIDE. Look, if Charlotte is giving away Morrison, I'd try him because of upside. But I wouldn't trade a proven player or draft position, let alone both on the chance that Morrison isn't a bust.

Gerald Wallace strikes me as a D'antoni type player too. The guy is basically Marion just not as pschotic quick.

Good use of some of the Knicks big pawns.

Uptown - Morrison sucks. He is a spot up shooter with solid skills (ball handling, pet moves etc). But he's not big enough or athletic enough to be a big time scorer. And that's bad because scoring is the only thing he can do.

So based on one rookie season, Morrison is a scrub? Most rookies struggle when they transition form college to the NBA. If you were to judge a player after thier rookie season alone, you would be calling Gay garbage, Deron Williams a scrub, etc......This guy is too skilled too much of a gym-rat not to improve.
