Trade the #6 pick and Zach for Brad Miller who has a much shorter contract. Trade Lee to the Nets for the 10 and 21 pick. In the last two year only 13 players have put up better numbers than Lee. You then take Westbrook and a big like Speights and or a project at 21.

I don't think the Nets would do the second trade and I wouldn't do the first, although I guess some other posters on here would.

In last year draft only 4 players put up better numbers than Lee. In the last two drafts how many guys have averaged a double-double?

Totally agree! We've already waisted picks in the past so why just give away this one for one player? I'd like to see what D'Antoni can do to improve our situation and make a trade when we're stronger rather than deal from a weak position.

we won't be in any position of strength til 2011... call it assinine or whatever else, but it's reality nonetheless... u can call cap flexibility retarded, moronic or whatever other derogatory terms you wanna throw in there, but the only moronic thing i've seen around here is this team continuing to make roster moves w/no thought to the longterm ramifications on the cap over the past decade... judging from Walsh's quoted mission statement since he got here seems to me he's of the same mind frame... but hey, what the hell does Walsh know about building successful NBA franchises.

again...it comes down to how good do you think the player at #6 is going to be. if he's going to be an above average starter...then keep the pick. but if the guy is going to average to below average, then you should trade the pick if that means you can get rid of zach.

The Nets might trade 10 and 21 for the 6 pick. That might not be a bad way to go for the Knicks. Westbrook or DJ should be available at 10.

This is logical. I just feel like we can easily get an above average starter at 6

Since David Lee was drafted by the Knicks--how many games have they won? That tells me he is no impact player. How many double doubles did Dennis Rodman average? David Lee is not a pimple on Rodmans arse.

Look at the Knicks record in the first 59 games he played his second year and the 24 and see what you get. Randolph played on one of the worst teams in the SEC does that make him a no impact player?

David Lee played 4 years at Florida--why are you comparing an 18 year old to a 25? What did Lee do at Florida his freshmen year---right after he won that dunk contest and whipped his shirt off?

Averaged 9 points a game and played behind two pros. Lee get 6 shots a game and hasnt had any leadership or coaching except for his first year and still puts up numbers. Randolph gunned his way to a last place finish in the SEC.

King, don't you think you're treating Randolph just a bit too harshly? I mean he did go 16/9/2.5blks as a Freshman...

I mean I'm not saying this guy is the next Tim Duncan, but he had a pretty damn good year as a freshman, no?

Briggs your a big stat guy. EG stats were much better than AR and he led his team to 20 victories and was on most all american teams. I am excited that Hansbrough will be in the HOF with his college stats. Funny how the two guys you have tried to sell everyone this year is dropping in the draft. The stiff from Nevada will be about the 6th big picked and Randolph will go about 9-10. I got EG and Speights and you have Randolph and MCGee for dinner deal

Gordon has no handle and he's going to have to guard players 3-6 inches taller than him. Perfect Knick smallish 42% shooter no D
