Id Randolph is a freak athlete how is he letting guys tha weigh 40lbs more beat him in sprints and agility drills. Randolph will be a bust in this league because of his body and his lack of feel for the game.

Trade down and get rid of Zach and we will have one of the best drafts ever.

Not sure if you mentioned Lee as a put down (i.e. even Lee is a better athlete). But Lee is the best athlete on the team (relative to his position) with the exception of Nate.

That said, I agree re: not taking Randolph. I'd take Alexander in a milli-second before him. Same for Westbrook.

And gallinari.

I want a guard or two players. Get two picks and get a big with the later pick and see if he can develop.

I'm so tired of hearing this trade Zach, like it's an easy thing to do. To even talk about trading Zach with the 6 pick, you have to have people who actually want the player. Does anyone want Zach? Not that I know of...

Trade the 6th pick and Zach for a expiring contract and then next year you will have flexibility to do a lot of things.

What position do you consider Lee? If he's a 3, he's not a great athlete.

I feel like Randolph is a clone of Diaw which is fine at that spot in the draft.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

A Diaw type player is fine at 6????

Not in my book. You're talking about a guy who has barely cracked the starting lineup in his career.

I would expect Gallinari, Alexander, Westbrook, Randolph etc. to be better than Diaw.

Again.. what team wants Zach King. Tell me and I will agree with your premise.

It's more about teams wanting the 6th pick. If the 6th pick is such a must have pick the Knicks phone should be blowing off the hook right now. You find out how much teams want pick 6 when you offer them Zach Rand Off. Not to mention it potentially gives us an idea of what his value is, if he has any. Say a team calls up wants our 6 and we say alright but you have to take Zach and possibly someone else depending on the offer, they'll grunt and moan but they'll make an offer. Now of course if the deal isn't fair or what we like obviously nothing get's done, but it gives Walsh another avenue of gauging this guys value instead of calling people Cold Turkey trying to offer Zach by himself.

What I'd like to know how come no teams are lining up for Marbury's huge $23mil salary if contracts are so easy to move in their last yr?

yea, and comparing him to lee is really a compliment. Lee is a very good athlete, just because he doens't have a 42 inch vertical doesn't mean he isn't a great athlete... watch him run, change direction, finsh off of either foot with both hands, watch him catch balls on the breaks and finish dunks in reverse going full speed. Watch that crazy tip in to win the game he had over gerald wallace in which he had to twist his body and put just enough touch on an ally oop pass.. the guy is a hell of a athlete.. Randolph falling short of lee's numbers doesn't mean he isn't going to be a good player... Lee is better than your average athlete..

I think guys equate great vericles with being a great athlete... Remember Harold minor from USC.. the so called "baby Jordan" and dunk contest champion? Great vertical, but not a great athelte... One GM said his biggest problem and flaw was that He didn't run the court well, so he was never able to beat guys down court or be in position to finish with his great leaping ability... I mean who would have figured that? The guy could jump out of the gym but could not run the floor, and he was a damn guard... LOL

Randolph is extremely talented. He can be the Shaun Marion type 4 in this system. Lee and Randolph are two different type players so it's not a comparison situiation. But I will be happy if they settle on Westbrook although I would take Ranbdolph/

My only worry with Randolph is that some of the reports of his workouts is that he appears to coast. We need someone who has a motor and is going to go 100% when he's on the floor.

Right now, I'd take Westbrook ahead of Randolph, but I'd be happy with either. I still don't think the team will be patient enough to wait on Randolph. Westbrook seems to make perfect sense for what the team wants and he fills a serious need.

you must have been ignoring those awesomely attractive packages we've been presented with like Diaw & Barbosa.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

King 1 Randolph will not be anything without 2 years of training and hard work like the Lakers did with Bynum although he is advanced enough to play on a second unit in high tempo now. If he works hard on his body and his game for two years--he'll set the foundation for a multi year all star level player. That is what I want out of the 6th pick in this draft. Only 1-2 are assured--Randolph however represents the UPPER tier talent level that an NBA team needs to be successful in conjuction with other similar players. He will NOT be the best player in year 1--I alredy know that but in year 3 he will be scary good if he works hard. This guy can almost be a 6-10++ type hybrid G/F who can be a terror on both ends. I do not care how good a player is in year 1 on a shtty team from pick 6 I care about what he will be when the team turns it around. We never have the cahones of the foresight to make a pick like this.
