Sasha Vujacic.

this kid has made some huge shots all year long for these Lakers & i love the intensity w/which he plays... this is the kinda player i would love to add to a team looking to build around a team first concept... he's a solid defender & isn't afraid to put his body in the lane to draw tough charging calls on guys twice his size... he takes a shot to the chops & doesn't complain, he just keeps playing... i really like how this guys plays the game.

Graduated with honors from the Euro school of flopping, yet he tries to fake like he's a tough guy. Cheap shot artist and trash talker who's bark is evident in every Laker game, but his bite has yet to be seen.

Greasy head, Euro chucker would be run out of NY.

cheap shot artist? Bruce Bowen's a cheap shot artist... i don't think i can classify him as a cheap shot artist.

& how is he a trash talker? i've been watching Laker games this season cuz the Knicks were just unbearable to watch & i think he would be a nice fit on the new system D'Antoni's trying to run... the way he plays reminds me a lot of Chris Childs to be honest... maybe not as good of a on ball defender but he's got a better J than Childs & plays w/similar intensity.

meh, I think vujacic sucks for the most part. I think Phil does a good job of getting production out of bench players. I don't see anything special about him. We can probably sign a guy to the LLE that can do what he does.

Eddie House can be had as a LLE guy to shoot but IMO Vujacic is a better player & has nicer size at the G position... i'm not saying throw the entire MLE at him but on a 3 year deal at ~$12 mil he'd be a steal IMO.

He would be a steal to a team like the Spurs. The Knicks don't have a structure where they have a clean cut anything. Vujacic could come in and become a starter right now......but do we want this guy as a starter? Do we want him rotting on the bench as this team sucks caca?

Now if the Knicks Starphuch and they need that back-up combo guard then pai-yao!!! Sign the dude for cheap. Knicks don't really have any luxury right now.

He's a role player. He shot 43% from three point range this season. If we can get him at a 2 year contract or at a longer contract but not for the full mle, he might be a useful player. But he's not the kind of player you build around.

JR Smith.

agreed...a player like vujacic is a complement, not an essential player...id rather go after a guy with potential if weuse the MLE...we dont have guys that can pass to vujacic nor guards that will create for him like kobe. he would be a waste here...

That's essentially what I said and I totally agree with you here.

Jr Smith is worth a full mid-level. The same problem comes up though.....is he a starter or a complimentary player. Hell yeah he is a starter in most peoples opinion, but how much better is he than Craw? Can the Knicks afford to play games like this by stockpiling similiar talent at the same position? The knicks already have players they are trying to get rid of.

I think he is better than Craw.

Craw shot 41%, 35.6% 3's, and 86.1% FT
JR shot 46%, 40% 3's, and 72% FT

JR is a better defender, is 5 years younger(JR is 22), and has a better build for the 2 guard spot(JR is 6-6, 220 while Craw is 6-5, 190).

I've had a man crush on getting him since the Hornets were dumb enough to trade him for a second round pick. I thin this kid has a game very comparable to John Starks.

Plus it gives you the latitude to move Nate or Jamal. Maybe Jamal to Toronto for Ford? How about you talk to Philly about a package of Jamal and Zach for Dalembert, Evans, and the 16?

Sasha - absolutely. Heart, toughness etc. Something this team has lacked for 8+ years. He's also a terrific shooter, has size, versatility etc.

Definitely agree on J.R. Smith. Susha does look good in the Boston series, but anyone playing with Kobe is going to look better because Kobe draws so much attention. I think J.R. Smith has finally matured to the point that you can start him as a 2 guard and make him a key component of your offense. I would be all for trading Crawford for Ford and signing J.R. Smith to the full-mid level exception. I would then draft Randolph as our PF for the future.
