he also said he thinks the predominant opinion around the league is that at slot 16, 17 & 18 u could nab just as good a prospect as u could at a higher #.

This audio feed did nothing but put a stamp of approval on everything we said about those draft positions. He said Joe Alexander could be there at 16 a player Briggs said he would want at 6. He said Speights can go anywhere from 13-25. He said they have 12 guys their looking at 16 but haven't pinpointed. He said they could move up and are looking to do so.

Why try to move up when is in such a sweet position at 16?

what him denying these rumors should tell us all is that Zach Randolph carries just about zero trade value & anyone who thinks there will be other deals available to us in the future to unload his contract w/o taking back an equally bad one in return or giving up 1 of our young assets is kidding themselves... we're pretty much stuck w/Zach at this point, which sucks on just about every level imaginable.

All you can say is.. Zach's value is really low, I don't see how it could possibly go any lower. I would assume the idea in Walsh's head is that maybe D'Antoni can make Zach look pretty decent this coming year and raise his trade-value a bit by putting up some good numbers in Mike's system and maybe a team that's desperate next year come trade deadline time, maybe someone will take him off our hands.
