Good listen to because he went all over the place.

Said no to zach randolph talks
Said best player they have worked out is javale mcgee
said kevin love will not be there at 16 joe alexander possibility
talked about speights did not seem very high on him
euros talent has fallen off for this draft was talking about that kid from the La clippers who plays in greece
picks 10-17 close rather have 10
bringing in lopez
sounded like he was high on jason Thompson scouted him from rider you could tell he was trying to keep that low key will have him in
sounds like they want a 4 man
interested in elton brand may not have enough money[thye talked about this is round about way]
started with finals stuff

he also said he thinks the predominant opinion around the league is that at slot 16, 17 & 18 u could nab just as good a prospect as u could at a higher #.

Thanks alot for typing up the recap Briggs.

Stefanski is a good GM, he knows what he's doing. I believe him about the Zach stuff and honestly, why would the team go after Zach when Elton Brand is potentially out there. If Joe Alexander falls to 16, someone is going to get real lucky, but I really don't see him falling that far...

mixed feelings on this. Happy we will remain a player in the lotto, upset that another team may have bowed out of the Zach sweepstakes. Zeke really gave us a nice swift kick in the blls by hanging Zach on our cap before he exited left.

he also said he thinks the predominant opinion around the league is that at slot 16, 17 & 18 u could nab just as good a prospect as u could at a higher #.

This audio feed did nothing but put a stamp of approval on everything we said about those draft positions. He said Joe Alexander could be there at 16 a player Briggs said he would want at 6. He said Speights can go anywhere from 13-25. He said they have 12 guys their looking at 16 but haven't pinpointed. He said they could move up and are looking to do so.

Why try to move up when he is in such a sweet position at 16?

No one said moving up was a bad thing those who say moving down 10 spots in a deep draft no lower than 16 are the ones with the issue.

Because he actually believes that some players are better than others in this draft.

6 to 16 is miles apart. What is telling is how he said he could grow hair before kevin love would fall to 16. At 6 you can be in position for kevin love--there is a different tier of player that stops about 12-13 imho im sure that could be higher or lower but 6 is a different level player. Its not even a question.

what him denying these rumors should tell us all is that Zach Randolph carries just about zero trade value & anyone who thinks there will be other deals available to us in the future to unload his contract w/o taking back an equally bad one in return or giving up 1 of our young assets is kidding themselves... we're pretty much stuck w/Zach at this point, which sucks on just about every level imaginable.

All you can say is.. Zach's value is really low, I don't see how it could possibly go any lower. I would assume the idea in Walsh's head is that maybe D'Antoni can make Zach look pretty decent this coming year and raise his trade-value a bit by putting up some good numbers in Mike's system and maybe a team that's desperate next year come trade deadline time, maybe someone will take him off our hands.

Yep and him admitting they'll find just as talented player at 16 as some of the higher picks is all I needed to hear. So what he wants to move up, no one said that was a bad thing, besides I mentioned it for the simple fact I thought we were looking to try and acquire another pick in this draft.

Again with the miles apart BS. At least one of the players you'd consider at 6 is likely to go a hell of a lot closer to the 16th spot than the 6th but you think it's miles apart.

Still waiting for you to fill out your top 20 Briggs. Let's see which players are miles apart from who is likely to go at 6.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

i can imagine it bro... what will another year of him being a malcontent on this squad & putting up worse #'s than last year accomplish? i think it's fair to imagine his stats will get worse playing in a system that is a horrible fit for his skillset... i think D'Antoni will phase him out much in the same manner that Isiah phased out Marbury the past 2 years... then factor in how he'll still be owed $33 mil for 2 more years after next season & i think it may cost us even more to get rid of him than anyone imagined.

Yeah but TMS, we have no other option, he's on the team and no on else wants him... you have to play him.
