This writer says he has no mid-range, but the scouts say he does! So which is it? I still think it's a bad move to what we need, but..............

I do think we could use $$$ to trade up w/ Seattle and get him if he's there. Since Sea isnt getting Beas or Rose I dont they care much and I would be shocked if they turned down $3mm to move up. Of course if Min takes Mayo kills that idea

Mayo has all kinds of mid-range game - the guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

Mayo is hands down the most skilled player in this draft. He's a notch below the elite athletes and his best position is TBD but don't knock the kids skills.

You guys ever see Mayo play during college?? The dude is Nasty! He has that killer instinct with sooo much confidence.

He can convert himself into a PG for the knicks. 6'4, big body and sooooooo athetlic.

There's no question you have to take him at 6. It's insane to think it's a bad move IMO. He has that swagger and the game to back it up that this team needs. Love his size and overall skill level. I think under D'Antoni he'd be a bigtime player.

I hope teams ahead of us have different ideas on what they need and he falls to us. If not, then I hope Waltoni feel the same way and that they'll do whatever it takes to get him.

I agree with you after Beasley and Rose he might be the closest thing to a sure thing in the draft. I highly doubt that he is available at 6. some drafts have him high as 3. Knicks might need to make a trade to get the wolves pick. Maybe the 6th and Lee for the 3rd but I highly doubt that the wolves want anything to do with Lee since he plays the same position as Al Jeffereson. I think the knicks have to get Mayo they need this guy badly only because he is very confident and this team has been lacking in that dept.

Yeah NBAdraft.net has Mayo going third.. Ugh I really hope Walsh can move up

Draftexpress has him going to us at 6 also. I can't imagine that he will be there. He is better than Bayless. Lopez did not look good at the draft camp. Mayo is definitely the third best player in the draft. The only way he slips to 4 is if the Love to Minnesota rumor is true. I think Mayo will be a star and I would love to see the Knicks get him.

His personality is what I'm more afraid of right now. He's bad medicine. Tell ya what, if we take him and he turns into something special, I'll praise Jax & Ewing for a month. Now that would be torture for me.

And of course, it would make perfect sense to draft him, since we have whole history the last several years of players either playing out of position or not knowing exactly where they go, right? We can't get someone is actually 'a center' or 'a PF' or 'a SF' or 'a pure guard'. Nope, not us. It's always someone who can't quite specialize into any one position.

Anyway, Mayo is also TO prone and is said not to be able to see the floor well. There are other guys who are way better ball handlers, with good vision, with a good mid range and decent drive to the basket.

I'll never trust this' team again.

Are you kidding? Lopez is a lock for 3rd. Mayo will be lucky to be picked up by 8th.

IMO Mayo has a chance to be the best player in this draft. If not, I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up being the best scorer in the draft a few years from now.
