Ewww, Sir Chuck-A-Lot?

I'm gonna pass on Redd Fish, he had a ton of problems with that team last year to, not getting along with either players or coaches, plus he's maxed out.

I'm going to pass on this one Fishy.

career 45% shooter isnt really chucking. He would look awfully good spotting up in an open offense.

He's more one dimensional than Curry as if this were even possible. Hecks no stay away from this Baby Fat Premature Chucking Baldy

one of the best shooters in the NBA is one dimensional. He's a guard. Everyone we have shoots 40%. Thats a dimension we need more of

I guess you don't want a 28 year old Reggie Miller either then.

That would be an Isiah move.

That is really a terrible trade.

Awesome. Let's help Milwaukee get cap space and destroy ours for Michael Redd.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

If he is sooo good, then why would Milwaukee want to get rid of him? And if he is "good," who is Milwaukee going to sign that is better than him if they were to have cap space?

Point is, he doesn't do much other than shoot, he plays no defense and he's not a good locker room presence. So with THREE years left why would we want him when his value does not equal his contract?!?!?!?!?!?

No.. an Isiah move would be to build our team around him. I am just talking about a piece of the puzzle.

Also Red isnt hurt, a malcontent or on the downside of his career. Also we woulnt be including 4 first round picks in the trade either. So I dont see how its an Isiah move.

Geez what move is good enough for the Knicks? If the best shooter not named ray allen isn't good enough who is?

oh right.. I forget, we are getting Lebron and Wade in 2010.

How are we upgrading the shooting on this team which is the worst in the league? I am open to thoughts...

Let me guess, hire Mark Jackson as coach :)

Its amazing. This guy is a bad locker room presence? He makes a lot of money. We are the Knicks. Payroll shouldnt matter. Winning games should.

Unless your clinging to your Lebron fantasy the guy is a heck of a player

Just like Zach Randolph was supposed to be a piece of the puzzle.

$17M in 2009 and $18M in 2010. No thanks.

I don't think you understand the importance of cap flexibility. You realize Redd is immovable, right? Trading for him would give us another garbage contract we will be unable to move. If we were to give an expiring for him, it would be an Isiah move. Zach Randolph for Redd I can understand but he isn't worth that type of money and commitment. You can upgrade your shooting through the draft and making a trade that makes sense. There are a lot of good shooters out there who make 1/10th of what Redd does. As isles said, this is an Isiah move - make trades disregarding the cap so we can get "talent" in return.

How about we let Marbury's contract expire and sign someone like Matt Carroll to the LLE or part of the MLE. As a spot up shooter, Carroll would fit with his 44% shooting from 3 pt range.

You're saying Carroll as an example correct? He has a long term deal with Charlotte. He has 5 more yrs on his contract Hoopshype just doesn't show it. Carroll signed a 6yr/$30mil deal last summer with them.

I have mixed feelings and I'll sum them up in a couple of lists.
Things that M Redd does well
Outside shot
Drive
Draw fouls
Hit foul shots
Pass (3.4 assists to 2.5 to's)

Things that M Redd doesn't do well
Play d

The thing that would convince me to do this deal is if they would throw in Ramon Sessions. We might have to add something to it, but that for me would be a big plus.
