Trade idea that works for the Knicks. I don't think LeBron is a realistic posibility for the Knicks, they can sell that shyt to me until they are blue in the face but I'm not buying into that BS. Same goes for Paul, Wade or any high quality superstar. I present a trade idea that will help the Knicks return to glory faster than waiting three years from now. Before you guys get all crazy I live for the moment and we as fans should do the same because you never know one minute you might be doing what you love the most and the next minute you might be gone. I suggest the Knicks trade the pick away.

Send the pick to Denver. Thats right Denver. Send Marbury's expiring and Randolph's bloated contract too. For Melo and a Bad contract that they might have. Why this deal work for the knicks and Denver. Denver get the 6th pick and an expiring contract in Marbury. Randolph fits the teams needs better than most PF, Zach provides a strong post game that Denver is lacking and is a very good compliment to Camby or Nene. Now if the Knicks want Martin who would be ideal compliment to Curry and basically fit the D'antoni system I'm willing to throw Lee in there in return for Melo, Martin and a late first round pick.

Knicks team:

Melo SF
Martin PF
Curry C
Crawford sg
Nate pg

With Denver late pick select Jason Thompson who I think will be a very good shot blocking PF. He is a smart player and also will be a solid player and will fit the D'Antoni system.

I just wanna know one thing?

What kind of problem do you have getting LeBron James to New York?

This is the perfect example of the destructive behavior of the common, hateful Knick fan. You don't want a superstar in New York???
I'll never trust this' team again.

Well, I'm glad someone finally came out and actually explained something to me.

Personally, I think they are jealous, because they can't think big enough. Their loss.

He is not coming here get it through your head. I'm a believer of not puttting your eggs in one basket. Besides you are not going to entice LeBron with basically no teammates on the team. He is gonna demand a ridiculous sum of money that is going to constrict the Knicks more than anyone player in the league. You are going to have to start negotiations at 30 Million a season. Its unrealistic for the Knicks. Better to leave his ass in Cleveland and let him pretty much destroy himself there with a flawed team. Thats what is going to happen here.

It has been reported (without any supporting evidence) that LBJ's Nike contract doubles if he plays in NY, LA, or Chicago. So that rumor has to be taken into consideration, although we obviously can't bank on a rumor. And I'm not sure how the Knicks can pay him 30 million with the cap, but maybe you mean with merchandising?

LBJ, Wade, Bosh, whoever else that may be available should be looked at that summer. Having said all that, if the Knicks can acquire Melo NOW they have to... because the point of getting massively under the cap is to acquire a superstar, which Melo is.

$30 million a season? is the CBA going to be completely revised by the time Lebron turns FA? cuz that's not even a possibility under the current CBA.

Oh' then your talking about money! Well, why couldn't you just say that?

Who else is going to be in position to offer him 20 plus in two more years and still have a chance to surround him with good pieces? If he doesn't get his thirty mill here (which I think is a bogus statement, blown way out of proportion), then who else is going to offer it to him?!

It can't be Dallas, because they have about a half dozen major contracts that just ran out, so they have some spending they have to do now and they are going to need about that many players to keep them in the playoffs.

It can't be the Celtics, because their money is tied up in players.

It can't be Cleveland, because that's where he's coming from.

I don't even see it being Denver either, because they also have several contracts that just ended and they need to fill those spots.

We have the best chance of getting LeBron to New York. So get it through your head!
I'll never trust this' team again.

So far, the Knicks are projected to have a salary of 28 million by 2010-11. I know we will sign or re-sign a few by then, but the money can still be managed for when we snag LeBron.

The only other team that I can see that might have a shot at him is chicago. They are projected to have a 9 million dollar team by 2010-11, but you know they are going to have to think about their prize in a few years and since they probably will start to be playoff bound again, they are also going to have to sign players within the next two years to compete, so I don't see them being able to make a big pitch for him either.

That's unless they decide to hold out and keep the cap well managed, until then.

And I'm not even sure how all of this CBA change is going to affect everything in a few more years. We'll have to wait and see.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Wasn't this the same rumor with Kobe.

We hold an advantage right now over all others. We are not even close to the playoffs, so we can afford to sit and wait for a few years, with no obligations.

And we have a lot of money coming off the books by then. Unlike Dallas, chicago or Denver who have a lot of money coming off the books now.

And' we have the biggest market in the U.S., where LeBron can have anything he wants in endorsements.

chicago's counting on some new big buildings, the hope for the olympics and the hope for a president of the U.S. to bring them the bread and butter market they been hoping for all these decades. nuff said!

I have no idea, but its not like the Knicks or the Bulls had a strategic advantage considering Kobe already plays in LA.
