He's gonna be there......I'd rather him than Jordan and Lopez.

Taylor-made C for uptempo system. Very fast up and down the court for a C

7 Feet tall with a 7-6 wingspan +athletic with strong legs solid body
and huge hands

Ballhandling Skills Dribble drive ability up to full court

Great Finisher

Great Agility

Shot Blocker

Good Post Moves Knows how to seal very well and finishes long at the basket--very long with pro tutor can be great post player

Good fundamental stroke all the way out to the 3 point line

Hard worker with Good Motor

Solid rebounder with potential to be an awesome one

Only has been playing basketball for 5 years--just touching the surface of what he can do he has all the skills he's got a great body for uptempo and rare speed for a 7 footer

These are the 4 players that I have personally identified for the uptempo system that I think would flourish. I know this team has to be rebuilt--we can play with what we have until their contracts are done or we are able to move them for shorter deals. I would use David Lee and if need be 3mm in cash to acquire two more picks to get 3 out of these 4 players.

7-1 240 Javale Mcgee
6-10 210 Anthony randolph
6-4 190 Michael Westbrook
6-5 210 JR Giddens

I said I would take Josh Smith pick 3 4 years ago--look it up--he went pick 17---he shouldve went pick 3. It's all in the beauty of the beholder.

And we've killed Isiah for taking Chandler and Balkman when he did.

I agree with adding a pick- I don't know if you can trade lee- perhaps to NJ? I still don't see how they get Melo- but if they do, something must be wrong with him- why trade him?

Unless they are planning for the LeBron sweepstakes, then that would be good enough reason to move Melo.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Sounds enticing! I grow weary of moving Lee and Javale and Anthony sure are awfully skinny if you ask me.

Josh is a decent scorer, a very good shot blocker (2.5 a game) at 6' - 9", but kind of turnover prone and fouls a lot. Still not bad though. I prefer a sounder player. Would even trade in one of the blocks a game for one.
I'll never trust this' team again.

if u'r that high on him i get why you would feel that way BRIGGS... i was high on Josh Smith too... if this kid turns out to be anything close to the type of player Smith is i'm all for it... we need some shotblocking & defense up in this piece.

For anyone who hasnt seen JR Giddens there is a lot of game tape on him out there. He reminds me alot of Gerald Wallace

By the way Giddens averaged 25 points 10 rebounds and 5 assists his last 10 college games.

In the last two drafts 7 guys out of David draft and 4 out of the last draft is having a better career than Lee. Briggs I am willing to bet out of the 4 guys you like one will do what David has done in the pros so far. Everyone wants Blatche and Taft and look what they have done. Eric Gorden will be better than all four of Briggs guys. I will bet you a beer, a kripsy kreme and dinner anywhere in NYC.

David Lee is a good player but I don't see me paying him 50mm and I think these players are more versatile skill wise. There is always risk--but tell me how much has David Lee helped to be an impact in terms of winning games? He gets destroyed consistently on the D he scores 10 and fives up 20.

I heard Jay Bilas say that Gordon has a very weak handle.

The more I look at this Westbrook, the more I like. This might be the guy. Does this call for a poll?

i thought u were talking about McGee here... those 2 kids got some serious hops but what else can they do? are they good fundamentally? can they shoot the rock? do they play good D? good passers? make good cuts to the hole & can shoot off screens? what's up? if there's 1 thing this team doesn't need is yet another explosive dunker w/little other real basketball skills (& i'm not saying that's what these kids are, just saying we need to get a lot more out of that pick than just another athletic kid w/nice dunks)

Exactly. Hey TMS, what do you' think about Westbrook? He's got some good hands and positions himself very well. Seems like a pretty good defensive player. His TOs at 2.5 wasn't too bad either. He's greatly improved his FT% also.

I like the way the guy moves.
I'll never trust this' team again.
