Teresa Witherspoon and Cynthia Cooper were a joy to watch.

My mom doesn't understand the point of womens basketball. She says if she wanted to watch basketball, she'd watch the NBA anyway.

Its a good league but too many teams have no clue what they are doing on all cylinders. Especially the Liberty. The liberty plays favorites and pass on more talented players just to keep the people they want in the spotlight. Its terrible.

The league just isn't run correctly. I don't know what it is but their scouting and business practices are comical....worst than anything we see with the Knicks.

As an example, the Liberty had tameka whitmore for 5 years and never thought to use her as an offensive threat. She has done nothing but florish after she left NY. They currently have like 4 small fwd types that can start in their league and the 2 better player are coming off the bench. They had another chic sit on the bench for 4 years before Becky hammon went down and they had to play her. She came in and dominated from the perimeter. They also had a quick up and commer @ point guard that they simply traded away for that 4th small fwd that I don't think is even getting off the bench if she is even on the team anymore! All because they want their golden girl to start. Argh!

I enjoyed watching T-sppon, Becky, Vicky Johnson & co when they made their runs... but I haven't stuck to the new generation and stopped watching.

I think I'd watch it more if they didn't push the cheesy promotional element so much.

I'd watch it more if they recruited from the Alba thread, and they changed uniforms.

I agree the WNBA has not allowed itself to evovle correctly. The try to rely entirely too much on star power instead of bringing in the most talented. GMs in the WNBA are less likely to take a chance on athletic player who plays a more exciting game because she doesn't have the complete fundamental package but they'll take some walking stiff because she chucks up 3s at a decent percentage and is from a school like UNCONN or Tenn.

Also like Codeunknown mentioned the cheese factor needs to be dropped. People who spend big money on sports (mostly men) aren't going to drop a few thousand on a game to watch Sue Bird because she looks like the girl next door.

First thing they need to do is use a real nba ball I think its lame that they use that little baby kids ball it makes what they do seem not impressive I could dominate with a kids ball how can u miss shootin that lil thing?
